The tough, rugged hard hitting Galento vs Lennox Lewis. How does he fare?

Same result. Maybe Galento hits the canvas a bit later though.

Galento is probably beat down in a fashion we saw when an old Mercer went up against a young Wlad. Which mean's he going to absorb a frightful beating before a mercy stoppage.

Galento doesn't last as long. Botha was a better, more skilled and more talented fighter, head to head.

It's amazing what a properly motivated man, along with a couple of thumbs, can accomplish.

It's virtually impossible for Galento to do worse

Same thing except it ends in the first instead of the second round.

He gets the everloving cr*p beaten out of him inside 4 rounds.

It might look like Lewis v Butler.

I think Galento would last 6 or 7 rounds at least.
Lewis was a painfully over cautious fighter against short squat fighters with power.
Butler was terrible shape for Lewis, worse than any good version of Galento, yet Lewis allowed him to stay until the 5th.
He left a zombie-fied Tyson plod on for several rounds excessively.
He played it really safe against Tua.
Even the unknown Justin Fortune was afforded a few rounds.

This is fine strategy and I'd expect him to do the same against Galento.

Lewis would play it cool the first two or three rounds, just throwing the jab out at Tony. Then when he's good and ready, he'll stick the nuclear bomb on Galento s chin. He'll go down and down again but that'll effectively be the game over. Lewis ko 4 Galento.

I think you will find it was Tua who played it safe with him.

Fortune could not last 4 full rounds. Butler couldn't last 5 rds and this was a Lewis coming back from a ko loss to McCall ,he was understandably a bit tentative.
