Yeah. Until he gets sparked out a couple of times. Then many of those people will be using his name as a running joke and laughing about his glass chin. Even Amir Khan's been stopped only 3 times in 35 fights. The critics are harsh. And the bigger you're built up the more they will tear you down. No one's been built up like AJ. He's got more to lose. Solution: Learn some defence and avoid those embarassing defeats.
Amir Khan was never as popular as AJ. Never drew the numbers AJ has done. It’s not the same situation at all. Frank Bruno was a loser and it didn’t hurt his popularity.
Joseph Parker sees the final bell vs AJ. The result is in question, but you cannot deny Parker is elite. On Topic- Takam can win if AJ lacks elite defence when pressured hard by a topic walk down mould of opponent. So far there are doubts about that to be fair to AJ. I think he does have the defence and the attack to cover over the cracks easily.
Is Parker truly 'elite'? Not sure I have seen him reach that level yet. Indeed I think he has underperformed since the Takam fight.
He's not elite at all. He has no elite power and no elite skills. His chin is probably very good but even that is unknown. Dillan Whyte for example takes him life and death and nobody says he's elite.
Andy Ruiz gave Parker a boxing lesson and pretty much showed his skills aren’t up to much. Against Fury he spent most of the fight chasing and missing. He seems a good lad but he’s got a lot to learn.
Joshua stopped Breazeale who's 6'7 250lbs in 7 rounds. Takam has a good chin but so does Breazeale who's much bigger. I say Joshua in 5.
Takam's style will cause AJ problems, AJ is such a massive man and a huge target, it will be hard for Takam to miss, and if he comes in all low and springs from the crouch i definitely see problems. I am certainly sensing the upset in this one, i know people will call me crazy but bigger upsets have happened. That is what makes this sport so unpredictable.
Joshua might carry him til the 7th then wipe him out. No upset happening. I don't think Takam is that special.
there is always the suspicion with these aj fights that the opponent has been paid to turn up and lie down.
I look at this fight in a similar vein to Wladimir Klitschko vs Jean-Marc Mormeck and I expect the same kind of fight and outcome.
