12 round heavyweight fight: Sergey Kuzmin/Amir Mansour in a career crossroads fight. Career defining fight for Kuzmin, a must-win fight for him and for Mansour as well. 10 round heavyweight fight: Andrey Afonin/Viktar Chvarkou in a decent regional dust-up. Decent fight, Chvarkou had a decent amateur career. Had fight against Teslenko in some tournament final but lost it by points. 10 round cruiserweight fight: Alexey Papin/Ismail Sillah is a fight for Papin's resume. Not a bad fight. Papin by KO. 10 round cruiserweight fight: Alexey Yegorov/Andrey Knyazev in a decent domestic match up. Knyazev is a battle-tested journeyman, so this is a learning fight for promising Yegorov. 10 round welterweight fight: Sergey Lubkovich/Michele Di Rocco. This fight will show how good Lubkovich is. A must win the fight for him. 10 round super lightweight fight: Georgy Chelokhsayev (12-1-1, 10 KOs) against Evgeny Pavko (16-1-1, 11 KOs). This is another domestic dust-up for a bigger fight in the future. 12 round super lightweight fight: Eduard Troyanovsky/Carlos Manuel Portillo. This is a tune-up fight for Troyansky as he is building up another challenge for the world title. Portillo is undefeated in 21 fights and has 16 KO's. Portillo hasn't fought anyone but if he wins this he will get some bigger fight in the future. 10 round(2-minute rounds) super lightweight fight: Svetlana Kulakova against Judy Waguthii(15 wins,7 losses and 4 draws) for the International Boxing Organization World Female Super Lightweight. Kulakova looks decent, has power and is effective with her pressure style but doubt he can beat someone like Nicole Adams or Katie Taylor. 10 round featherweight fight: Evgeny Smirnov(10 wins with one draw) against Jhon Gemino(16 wins with 9 loses) 10 round super bantamweight fight: Valery Tretyakov(11/0) against Arnold Khegai( 10 wins one draw). Khegai can upset Tretyakov in the regional dust-up.
Havent watched any of these fighters except Troya. Like all Russian cards this one is a must watch if you're a hardcore boxing fan. @houmzz Any possible upsets on this card ?
I'm expecting Browne to win, Portillo, Sillakh and Gemino could all possibly spring upsets here. This whole card is 50/50ish. Even though I really like Lubkovich, you never know, Di Rocco is a huge step up in comp, throw that one in too.
No 50/50 fights here, I expect upsets only in two fights. In Valery Tretyakov/Khegai fight and Kuzmin/Browne fight. All other fights are just lopsided fights where Russian fighters are expected to win.
That's what's expected, but Portillo is an unknown commodity, just like Indongo, Portillo just ended Czar Amonsot's 10 year undefeated run, KOing him in 3, Troya has a **** chin, so.... you never know. Gemino is a little beast, he sprung the upset on Toka Kahn Clary, and rocked Nyambayar once or twice, he can do it here as well. Sillakh arguably just got robbed against Masternak, that was a ridiculously close fight, add to that, Sillakh dropped Vlasov and hurt Masternak, again Papin is an unknown commodity, he could suck. I expect Lubkovich to win, but Di Rocco has only lost recently to top guys at LWW.
Really liked Sergey Lubkovich in his last fight. Will it be possible to watch the card live in the UK?
But when odds will be released Browne will be the favourite because only hardcore boxing fans know how good Kuzmin is.
Once Troyansky will connect Portillo will go down, Troyansky doesn't have the strongest chin but not glass either. Papin will knock out Siliakh, I don't see any chin problems in Papin's game.
I think Kuzmin, Afonin, Yegorov can go far in their respective divisions. I want to see Papin against somebody who can punch and take punch to tell how good he really is.
Here is the running order of the whole card: 1 fight: Svetlana Kulakova against Judy Waguthii(15 wins,7 losses and 4 draws) for the International Boxing Organization World Female Super Lightweight. Kulakova looks decent, has power and is effective with her pressure style but doubt he can beat someone like Nicole Adams or Katie Taylor. 2 fight: Evgeny Smirnov(10 wins with one draw) against Jhon Gemino(16 wins with 9 loses) 3 fight: Georgy Chelokhsayev (12-1-1, 10 KOs) against Evgeny Pavko (16-1-1, 11 KOs). This is another domestic dust-up for a bigger fight in the future. 4 fight: Andrey Afonin/Viktar Chvarkou in a decent regional dust-up. Decent fight, Chvarkou had a decent amateur career. Had fight against Teslenko in some tournament final but lost it by points. 5 fight: Sergey Lubkovich/Michele Di Rocco. This fight will show how good Lubkovich is. A must win the fight for him. 6 fight: Valery Tretyakov(11/0) against Arnold Khegai( 10 wins one draw). Khegai can upset Tretyakov in the regional dust-up. 7 fight: Alexey Yegorov/Andrey Knyazev in a decent domestic match up. Knyazev is a battle-tested journeyman, so this is a learning fight for promising Yegorov. 8 fight: Alexey Papin/Ismail Sillah is a fight for Papin's resume. Not a bad fight. Papin by KO. 9 fight will be a warm-up fight for the headlining fight: Sergey Kuzmin/Amir Mansour in a career crossroads fight. Career defining fight for Kuzmin, a must-win fight for him and for Mansour as well. 10 and the final fight will be the headlining fight of this fight card: Eduard Troyanovsky/Carlos Manuel Portillo. This is a tune-up fight for Troyansky as he is building up another challenge for the world title. Portillo is undefeated in 21 fights and has 16 KO's. Portillo hasn't fought anyone but if he wins this he will get some bigger fight in the future.
