Haye has a far, far, far better jab. Look at this fight. Takam nullified Joshua's jab with head movement and Haye has amazing head movement. Haye could win that fight on points so long as he is fully fit.

I wonder if Wlad is having second thoughts about not taking the rematch now?

Seriously, AJ looked worse this time then vs Wlad in April. Has he reached his peak as a fighter?

Yeah Wlad should have stopped him then, but tonight he almost certainly would have won.

Whilst I initially thought the stoppage was. Tad premature, on reflection the ref has consulted the doctor twice already maybe it was in agreement any further pressure/ damage he jumps in??

I am an AJ but trying to throw in a bit of logic instead of this constant negative bashing on here

Joshua has a really bad jab, imo. Haye also needs to be active, which i think he can. Because he has better stamina than Joshia

Some of you guys are kidding yourselves on here.

Takam, as everyone acknowledged ahead of time, is a tricky and very durable guy, who no one looks good against usually. Joshua counterpunched very well, showed an improved jab, dropped him, and barely lost a moment of the fight. And he had a broken nose from a head butt from early in the second round.

The stoppage sucked - I think it should've got to its natural conclusion - but Joshua WHOOPED Takam for 90% of the time they were in the ring together. Those cuts, particularly the one on his right eyebrow, were appaling. So the doctor being called in at times was appropriate.

Takam was good as usual, and game as ever, and yeah the stoppage was badly timed - but Takam, as solid and tricky heavy as you will find, was thoroughly outgunned in there.

I'm irritated by the stoppage, but Let's have some perspective please, people.

Four years ago I would've agreed, but Haye's mobility and reflexes are long gone now.

The ref had been given his orders, he looked scared shitless that Takam could spring the upset, had the corner check his nothing cut several times, they were clearly worried AJ would gas late, and get KTFO in the championship rounds, Takam was starting to land some hurtful shots, AJ output was dropping, first chance the ref saw, he leaped on it.

He's too heavy. Dillian Whyte said this week he won't get any better. He can't get any bigger, he can't get any faster and he can't get more powerful. 20 fights now and he still hasn't learned to dominate with the jab. He's pure athleticism. That's it. He has totally peaked and we just need the right opponent to beat him. Ortiz was mandatory I'm so devastated he can't get his shot now.
