Usyk has a chance to beat Joshua the biggest difficulty for Usyk would be Joshua's physical strength and Joshua's gorilla attacks like when he fought Wlad.

I'm more confident Usyk beats Joshua now. Yesterday's fight proved Joshua can't just knock out anyone he likes without a British stoppage or getting gassed. Usyk would completely outbox Joshua and win on points.

Good fight but can USYK's chin hold up to the heavy artillery hed certainly get it with if they fight? Thats going to be the real question heading into that potential fight someday.

I honestly think yes, as a Usyk fan my bigger concern is whether his punches are hard enough to keep Joshua off.

If you can't keep the other guy off, you'll eventually get stopped even if you can take the power at first.

Just my two cents of course :)

Usyk schools AJ through 11, then Usyk has AJ doing his best Michael Hunter in the 12th impression for 2 and a half minutes straight, ref lets it continue, AJ shoots out a straight right, that whizzes past Usyk's head, he rolls with it, but slightly loses balance, ref stops the fight, AJ wins by TKO12, time 2:59 in.

Could happen but getting hit by Joshua on the chin is nothing like USYK has felt before.

The fact is he has still dominated most of his opponents. How good was GGG's opposition after 19 fights?

That's going to be a big one if it happens.

Yeah that's true. Perhaps I was a bit over the top there but I do still see Usyk points as being the most likely result followed by a Joshua stoppage.

Yeah either USYK on points or Joshua by stoppage would be the likely outcome.

Well we're at it, what about Gassiev at HW?

I know a good few industry people think that Gassiev will be as good / better HW as Usyk as he has the power to trouble/KO anyone, and a good style for taking on AJ/Wilder.

I think Gassiev would do good as a HW as well, but I think he'd have less success than USYK simply because he's not as agile or technically sound as USYK. Power is a great thing to have, but skills are what pay the bills and he's the less talented of the two.

Yes, good assessment. Still, when I see: Whyte as a consensus top 10 who is less skilled, arguably less powerful, and Gassiev has a great chin too; and to be perfectly honest neither Parker nor Wilder are that special, who knows how far Gassiev could go? He's much younger than Usyk.

If Joshua comes in at 240lbs he’s faster and has better aerobic conditioning, he’s already shown that he carries his KO power into the 11th round even at heavier than 240lbs.

So Usyk is older by 2 years, giving away 40lbs (approx 3st), 4” in height and god knows how much in punch power to a fighter who has Knockout power right up to the last second of the fight.

Usyk would have to have a death wish or owe the Russian maffia a lot of money

Usyk is a special talent and he has skills and knows how to fight. Tyson Fury has skills and knows how to fight and he's obviously a huge guy. Luis Ortiz has skills and knows how to fight. Povetkin has skills and knows how to fight. AJ has decent skills and can fight a bit but it's really his size, speed and power that makes him formidable. Even Takam knows how to fight. Donkeypotamus Wilder does't know how to fight he's just a big dude with power and woeful technique.
