Did the punch the ref stopped it after even connect?

After watching this fight, my respect for Parker as a fighter has grown.

Joshua was way ahead on the cards, but was made to look silly time and time again, bad stoppage though.

The constant stop of the action to check on Takam's cut, I found dubious. He'd check the cut in the corner, then he'd check again 45 seconds into the round, this happened at least three times. Sure, you can argue the ref has to look out for a fighters safety, but it just seemed like a conscious effort from the ref to give Joshua a breather every chance he got.

Joshua was gassing badly through the 8th and 9th, and Taken was walking him back onto the ropes. Were it not for the very premature stoppage, Takam would've more than likely kept the pressure on and swept rounds 10, 11 and 12.

Fair but when betting on Under 9.5 you are betting that the fights ENDS prior to the 10th being past the halfway mark. Always has been with betting on the sport

Oh I thought they were talking boxing, not gambling. There was no mention of gambling in the post I replied to and it being a boxing forum, it's easy to assume they were talking boxing. Always been a boxing forum and thats for sure ;)

    The conversation literally began with:

Nobody's fault but your own if you have no idea what 9.5 means (which doesn't even need the context of gambling to mean what it means; nine and a half means nine and a half no matter the context. Nine and a half of anything means "during the tenth". If you are nine and a half years old you are in your tenth year. This is basic knowledge and doesn't require so much as passing familiarity with gambling. You lose. Good day sir.)

Let me see if I can simplify it.

You haven't fought ten rounds until you reach the end of the 10th round.:deal:

Only really applicable to people who joined after the forum software got switched from vBulletin to Xenforo, though, innit? Until we view it all on a long enough timeline it will be skewed in favor of newer folk. Case in point, I have only 1% as many likes as posts and consequently rank "merely" 16th* on the board overall in total likes, but 99% of my posts came before the forum upgrade (vBulletin didn't have a "likes" system; but going on the fact that I have a - rather significantly - greater than 1:1 like to post ratio since we switched to Xenforo, we can presume that my likes would currently be sitting at roughly half a million at least if vBulletin did have likes  ...good for more likes than all other posters combined, in other words)

(edit: was top 15 yesterday, apparently Robney just nosed past me today :fusmile. Actually that's pretty damn impressive, means he got like a hundred likes overnight. Solid work, kiddo!)

I lose?? LOL. Where was it a game lol, what game was it? Do you wanna win this???...game? LOL. You win son :)

Look some of us a boxers, were not gamblers. We come here on this forum because it says gambling? No, it says boxing.

In boxing, a 10th round stoppage is a 10th round stoppage. Not what you gamblers call it 9.5 round stoppage.

I already explained that I didnt know the conversation was in a gambling context and the proof is in my posts. You may have misread this. I didnt read the start of the conversation obviously, otherwise I would have known it was about gambling. The thread is called "Anthony Joshua vs. Carlos Takam & Khalid Yafai vs. Sho Ishida + Whyte vs. Helenius RBR" and I know some times we go off topic but talking about rounds is boxing. Easy too mistaken.

If you've deflowered nine consecutive virgins and the next one lets you get to second base and then remembers she's waiting for marriage, puts on her bra, calls an Uber and says "oh yeah, I'll totes call you" - brother, your streak is still in single digit territory.

Yeah so all the knockouts in the first 10 seconds of the first round (which has happened) are 'zero round knockouts' lol.

9.5 doesn't have to do with gambling, like I said.

Some of us are boxers, yes. Presumably, however, ALL of us went to school until at least the age of, say, 8 (or, put another way, until our ninth year of life). A number followed by a decimal followed by another number is another expression of a mixed number, or an integer with a fraction. This is basic knowledge. If you completed the amount of school that everybody in every 1st-world country does before they even hit puberty, you should know that.

9.5 = 9½. Boxer or not, gambler or not, you ought to know that.

No but they occurred in less than one completed round, get it?

A kayo in the second round at the 90 second mark happened at exactly the 1.5 round mark. Understand?
