    Would AJ have a chance?

Watching tonight made me think Joshua prob wouldn't make it to 8thor 9th.

AJ wouldn't have enough to keep Lennox thinking about anything

He would basically go in for a demolition job.

A guy with Joshua's size and power would always have a chance against any HW of any era. Lewis would take him very seriously and he would present a challenge that would require focus. Joshua isn't sh1t any more than he is the invincible fighter the PR hype train makes out. He is a legit world level HW.

However for Lewis v Joshua see Lewis v Bruno.

Lewis would establish control and take advantage of the defensive gaps Joshua leaves and probably stops him mid rounds. Lewis is far too good technically for Joshua but Joshua is always an offensive threat - he has enough deterrent to make a fighter think twice.

    Yea I agree with that

Bruno actually is more powerful than AJ but a bit shorter and more cumbersome

AJ has zero advantages over Lennox . But I still think Lennox would go in and try to smoke him from the off. Like he did to GolotA. Who is prob better than AJ

It would be interesting to see how Joshua coped with somebody starting fast and taking the fight to him. That's territory he has never been in.

He looked out of ideas when Klitschko took the fight to him, but at 41 he couldn't sustain it, and let him off the hook to a point.

It is risky though as AJ has enough offense to punish any sloppiness. Much as AJ has weaknesses in ring IQ, movement and generalship, he is pretty good at the punching side of the game.

Lennox Lewis faced with the best version of AJ we have seen, smokes AJ and he smokes AJ inside 6 rounds.

Lennox Lewis is the number 1 HW of all time, so no shame in that at all.

AJ needs to be faced with some wars against the likes of Povektin, Parker and some of the younger breed and those coming up from CW before we can fairly judge him in ATG H2H matches.

I always say we should wait 10 years until after fighter X has retired before we can give a fair assessment of where they stand. AJ is only 50-60% through his career!

Bruno done very well against Lennox until the left hook landed, he was looking ok ! Against AJ I think Lennox probably gets a one punch knock out around 4/5 !

Bruno was a lot better than some think or remember. His jab was a thing of beauty and he gave Lennox lots of problems with it. Joshua doesn't have a jab anywhere near as good as Bruno. I also think Bruno had more destructive one punch power than AJ. Lennox beats Joshua easier than he did Bruno.

AJ hasn't imo got the one punch ko power that Lewis had. Everything he lands is heavy but the one punch power and speed lies with Lewis. I see Lewis jumping on him and getting him out of there early and relatively easy !

It's hard to say, depends how disciplined AJ boxed. If he boxes better than we ever seen him he could get somewhere between the 8th and 10th. If he boxes average he would get chinned around the 4th.

Left hook followed by a right cross would put AJ out for the count.

It's not like Joshua has any sort of size advantage either. Joshua may have one or two attributes that are equal to Lennox but everything technical goes to Lennox, even power goes to Lennox. Joshua would get stopped in that fight no doubt about that.

Yes and apart from the Klit fight, all other fights were against puddings.

The guy last night was a durable punchbag with AJ 1/50 odds on at the Bookmakers

Putting aside technical aspects Lennox is far more aggressive and tough.

But let's see 5 or 6 more fights he may keep improving and show some promise

Facts are the competition is a lot lighter than Lennox had .

I think Holyfield would also wear down Joshua and stop him late

Got to remember, Joshua has only had 20 fights...

I think he’d do better versus Lennox than people think, especially since he’s been out of the ring for such a longtime.
