I've said since he turned pro movement will be his biggest issue. We saw it in the Olympics vs Savon and Dychko.

Good lateral movement is one of the least understood and most underrated skills in boxing. Even guys with quick feet like Wlad and Khan don't have good lateral movement, people mistake their fast feet for good movement, they are not the same thing.

Joshua coming late to boxing has had a steep learning curve and this is probably the skill he struggles with the most. He holds his feet too much, doesn't step around to create angles enough.

Luckily for him he has a ton of power and good inside skills for a big heavyweight so even though he can be out boxed via movement he has the option to take it in close to try and close the show which is what he did vs Takam.

 

The thing is that Fury only existed for a fight or two. Much like the Douglas that beat Tyson. It's useless to speculate what that version of Fury from 3 years back would have done to Joshua last night.

Takam did well but he lost every round, got outboxed and busted up. Honestly I don't know how you have come to that conclusion in your OP from watching the fight last night, it is genuinely baffling.

 

Your boy got found out. Even the casuals are clocking on,to the fact that a good young fighter who is able to box, takes AJ out on that performance.

I'd say even a David Haye with Adam Booth sniper style tactics, takes him out.

It was evident that Takam managed to frustrate Joshua, while giving him a few scares, why else would he resort to desperate cheap tactics to find a breather in between rounds?

And why else do you think the ref jumped in to put Takam in a headlock to stop the fight? Because he was dangerous and he was instructed to take care of Joshua. There is already evidence of rigged scorecards to ensure Joshua won regardless of what would happen during the 12 rounds.

The whole thing is a farce. And point out the truth has nothing to do with hate, only reality.
