Not sure what numbers were for this fight but looked to be another 70,000 crowd, amazing especially considering Takam or his original opponent Pulev were not big names to casual fans. Maybe Klitchko had B2B 40,000 stadium shows but couldn't think of anybody else recently and I wouldn't be surprised of another stadium show for his next title defence hopefully against Wilder
Not B2B but JCC had 2 huge stadium fights in 93, Haugen and Sweet Pea. Otherwise, **** knows, might have to go back to Dempsey and Tunney.
It's because Hearn is the only one to try out stadium matches.Mayweather/Mcgregor and Pacquiao could have easily done 120 thousand stadiums in the US.
This is true. In the US they have Vegas which can surpass the gate of any stadium so all the big fights go there, if there was no Vegas many big stars in the US could of sold stadiums, back to back.
Probably an old school fighter like Louis when boxing was as big as baseball and they fought in baseball stadiums a lot
Phenomenal, he is only 4 years as a pro. I think he is already bigger than Klitschko at the similar stage. If he can beat Wilder and make a few defences in the US, I believe he can as big globally as Tyson was.
