i remember reading in "the ring" there was a fighter sitting in the stands, eating a hot dog. in the main event the challenger literally quit at the last moment. the managers and promoters noticed said fighter in the stands. they went up to him and offered him something like 15,000 (this was in the mid 60's) to hop into the ring and fight the champ on he spot. he agreed. gave a very good account of himself and even knocked the champ down early in the fight. but he was knocked out some where in the 9th. after wards, he asked for another dollar because he said he was not about to pay for a hot dog in fight that he fought in.

I disagree. It was a great punch but Vitali didnt go down and was fighting back before the finish. That fight could still have gone either way and Vitali was ahead in my opinion at the time of the stoppage

Why would he chose not to train when he knew the biggest chance ever was right there.
He has a full CAMP, that's a fact, let that fact sink in
