Frank Warren is an awful, behind the times promoter & Frampton/DeGale have committed career suicide

I dont get why Warren dosent let his sons take a more senior role,just like Barry Hearn did,but he still gives the final say,and is their in the background up to date,giving advice when needed,and ultimately the final descion.I'm sure his sons who i have seen before in IFL videos,is fully understood with this current climate of Promoting.Use IFL as a Tool like Hearn does,create more buzz and hype round a event.Get out of the Copperbox,use BT Sport as a tool for more advertisng and promotion.More active on social media,use someone like Yarde, Saunders,Frampton to head up BT Boxing.Use Boxnation for the International fights,and BT for the Domestic fights.Get Involved with EE who have a deal with BT Sport,their is so many avenues their but i dont think Frank has the energy or enthusiasm as he once did.He is a 90's man,quite simply.

These same ppl critisizing the Copperboxs low capacity/apparent low status are the same ones who think Hearn is a magician when he places Crolla in the Manc arena and the show sells 10k in a 21k capacity or when he puts 'summertime brawl' in the 02 and does about 3k in 18k capacity...its just weird how people think.

 

No doubt Warrens promotion suffers because of the huge sky deal Matchroom has. But I am certain that if Frank had the sky deal he still wouldn't do well because its just a new era of boxing. Not his fault just time moves on. We all still owe it to Frank for the great shows in the past.

 

it's not good for boxing if frank's outfit fades away as then eddie has the power to serve up pure rubbish on sky. the show on saturday was pretty crap. a feather fist female fight was the only decent undercard match.

the exclusive sky deal is understandable on their part as it makes things simpler but risks reduced competition.

I don't understand the fanboyism for promoters that has crept up nowadays tbh. it shouldn't be about supporting one over the other.

 

Us fans are being hurt by there being so many broadcasters now so what would have been a 'main support' fight can headline a smaller show. The Bellew v Haye card being a mix of matchroom and Haye's guys might result in a stronger undercard imo
