Probably Wilder would UD Takam. However, as Wilder has not yet fully stepped up against the best its possible Takam could beat Wilder as he is a very tough dude.
I just don't see where Joshua is any better than Wilder. To be honest I think Wilder has more power. Joshua did not have the power to stop Takam but he got a gift stoppage. His fight with Wlad was stopped to early as well. Joshua was out of gas and may have lost to Wlad if it was not for the early stoppage. Joshua has no Jab and he can't handle pressure. Joshua will end up like David Price mark my words. Joshua lacks stamina because he does to much weight training and probably takes PEDS.
You can't be serius. Joshua while I am not that high on is still the best heavy currently. His technique is much better than Wilder.
Takam against both Povetkin and Joshua proved he has no stopping. He couldn't hurt either on of them and also couldn't cut the ring off on Parker, who is slow and stiff compared to Wilder. Wilder would toy with him for a couple of rounds before knocking him out. Takam is Malik Scott level at best.
No way this is what's called an over reaction to a fight result. It was a brave effort from Takam and a **** stoppage but he had only won 1 round on 2 of the judges scores and none on the other.
Apologise for that statement. Let's compare their performances against top five opposition, shall we? Scuba's performance against Ortiz was a heartless disgrace and he took a blatant dive for his buddy Wilder. Takam always comes to perform and had close fights against Povetkin (whom he was outboxing for the first few rounds), Parker (against whom many thought he drew with) and should have been the first to take Joshua the distance. Btw I think Wilder probably UDs Takam. He doesn't possess the skill level or punch selection to do what Povetkin did to him, but he does have the range and physical advantages to win the vast majority of close rounds like Joshua did. But FFS, Malik = Takam? That is utter nonsense. Takam would easily be Wilder's best win.
Wilder is completely unproven at the level of elite level and the below elite level. By elite level I mean Povetkin, AJ and Parker. He has never faced a Andy Ruiz Jr, Hughie Fury, Carlos Takam, Kubrat Pulev or Adam Kownacki below elite level. Therefore we have no actual evidence of where he is relation to that level. We can only surmise that he fits somewhere in the middle of that tier, the world class 2nd tier.
Takam would be, by far, the best heavyweight Wilder has ever fought! Takam has the tools to knock Wilder out, but that is not saying much as Wilder can't fight.............
Takam's getting overated on here a bit. Yeah tough gritty fighter, but I think its as much to do with the flaws in AJ that made Takam look good !
Let's assume you're right. The flaws in Wilder are even bigger and more glaring. I think that Takam would exploit his hittability and shock Alabama!
