He's got his license back ... that isn't the same as losing ~120lbs and returning to fighting condition. And he is still yet to be cleared by the UKAD hearing, whenever that is due. He's shown numerous times before all the UKAD and BBBoC malarkey that he lacks the heart and drive to lose that weight and get back in the ring. Call me a cynic but licensed or not this is his umpteenth attempt at a comeback and I don't believe he possesses the conviction to put in the roadwork necessary to shift all that weight.
Personally I couldn't care less - if he comes back in 2018 he'll be FAT and not close to his former self. But if the BBBoC are giving him a green light then it looks like they're ready to let him play again...
the weight is one thing but what convinced me he isnt coming back is his new coke addict voice in recent interview...no way he stopped snoring and he wont stop
I reckon he'll train into some type of shape (rounder) but when he resumes his boxing career he will find he's rusty and not close to his former self....he'll probably only risk a fight or 2 vs a no hoper/bum so as not to risk the con job that is what he's coming back for - a fight with AJ. And for me, Fury shouldn't get that fight unless he wins against at least 1 top 10 opponent. Which probably won't happen, Hearn will milk what he can from a super easy fight for AJ against an out of shape rusty Fury...big money to con the gullible casuals when its really a farce unless Fury wins against a credible opponent. Cant trade off his former glory 3yrs after it happened.
I think he will come back after seeing an interview...................if he gets in shape he will beat Joshua easier than fans think..................
Fury could have fought since November 2015 had he wanted to. This whole under a "drugs ban" thing is a farce. It was not an excuse for not fighting and not an excuse for blowing up like a whale. There have been other fighters who have been banned from fighting by British boxing, who have fought under Baltic union boxing licences. For example, Danny Williams. Fury has not been fighting since November 2015, because he no longer wanted to box and had too much money. Now he has his British boxing licence back, nothing much has changed. Unless he has run out of money or didnt know about the Baltic boxing union route. Shifting over 100 lbs with the bad habits he has formed will be a challenge.
So, this means he still has to get past the whole doping issue before he can actually return to the ring. He has to put up a comeback date and then see if he can actually make it. that's hardly a green light.
