I don't want a Takam rematch but don't act like that is the best Takam we could of seem, its just AJ didn't really live up to expectations, he was supposed to stop Takam early in this situation but he didn't look on the ball, he looked slower, less active with his punches and more robotic than usual.

lol 50/50. Parkers team are jokers. They should be grateful for 20%

70/30 split at best for Parker and that's pushing it.

"It's disrespectful for the fact that Joseph has earned one of the credible heavyweight belts. So has Joshua, so it should be much closer to 50-50 than what was put on the table." - Higgins JP's promoter

Parker's purse v Takam would of been what? £300k.

    Joshua took home £10 mil.

I think AJ took 20mil apparently, Takam took about 5 mil. If I was Parker I would aim to get about 8-10 mil of the 25 mil pot.

And that could have been due to AJ fighting a totally different opponent to what he was originally scheduled to be fighting, both physically and stylistically, or too many people blowing smoke up his ass that he would have it easy against Takam. Hell, maybe AJ himself overlooked Takam and took his foot off the gas in training as a consequence. Joshua has certainly looked better conditioned in previous matches and he did come in at a career heaviest. I doubt the broken nose did much to help Joshua's performance either. I had my nose broke in sparring years ago and I managed to finish the round and that was it as it hurt like a *****, made one hell of a mess and my eyes were streaming like I'd just been pepper sprayed

You use Povetkin in your post as an example and have then have nerve to talk about Joshua and PED's.. FFS

And yes Wladimir toyed with Povetkin and 4 years later Joshua stopped Wladimir, your point?

Oh I get it, that was a "prime Klitschko" that fought Povetkin and 4 years later he was a shell?

OK I see where we are going with this.

I can see it being difficult for unification fights to happen, given the gulf in stardom among the belt holders. Apparently Parker’s team are not happy with the split that has been mentioned, even though it will no doubt smash his career high payday.

    I agree completely.

The reaction has on here as actually shocked me, it shouldn't have because there are quite a few trolls and morons on here but the overreaction is just too much for me.

I agree, I was also angry with the stoppage, I thought the referee was looking for any reason to stop it, he wanted it stopped on cuts, he tried his best and in my opinion it was rather see through.

But like you said, it wasn't close, Joshua had already dropped him, not heavily but he still did and won every round. Takam had a few mini moments but AJ was never in the slightest bit of trouble, he had his nose broken by the look of it and had trouble breathing through it for a round or two and yes Joshua looked OK, not great but he won and won convincingly.

I actually really like Parker and said in the RBR maybe people were too harsh on him after Takam and they probably were.

But let's not forget Parker laboured with Fury to a MD, Parker struggled badly with Takam, Parker was dragged the distance by Ruiz Jr and got a MD all within the last 15 months.

But it seems all that has been forgotten because Joshua had an average night.

Parker didn't stop Takham nor Hughie nor Cojanu nor Ruiz. Case closed.

I have to add I do not think Joshua in unbeatable, invincible or anything of the sort, these are big men and at that size and with that sort of power I believe they can all stop each other.

I've watched far too much boxing to believe any fighter is unbeatable, I was lucky enough to watch Tyson's short but exciting time and I've seen Tyson who many top judges believed was unbeatable at that time.. errr get beat by Buster Douglas.

I'm not naive, bias or blinkered, I just have the opinion Joshua is the number one at this moment time and I haven't seen anything from any other fighter to suggest he isn't, that does not mean none of them can't beat him, of course they can but Joshua would be a heavy favourite against all of them in my opinion.

End of the day AJ won and he moves on from there, I don’t wanna act like he lost loads of rounds or he was in trouble at any point. Yeah I think he did over look Takam and he seems to have taken his eye off the hall in regards to his conditioning. I only criticise his performances to show the fan boys the man can be beaten but I’m not gunna lie and say he isn’t the man in the division atm, I give Parker a 10% chance against him.

As many issues as Joshua has, I think he wins going away
against Parker. Hell I think Wilder beats Parker. I didn't get the
hype about Parker and had a review fest on quite a few of his fights
and I still don't get it. He is not very good at all. He's decent but there
is a near endless amount of guys from just 10 years ago that I think
    would beat him decisively.

I still don't get the Parker hype, I'm sure I never will. My eyes
clearly seeing something a lot of you guys aren't seeing that are
    Parker pundits.
