WELL i hope GGG can find a good opponent that will give him good $$$ . it took two years to get canelo in the ring it might take two more years. Frusturated golovkin years ago wanted the top level opponents who would always duck him. Cotto was one of them. Until recently in sempetember cotto had said he was interested in fighting triple ggg or canelo . ggg declined and decided to wait out for canelo. When he gets frusturated fighting no name fighters. Hes gonna wish he had fought cotto. Having canelo and cotto in his resume would probably of even brought out the former p4p. Mayweather but no ggg held on to his obsession with canelo. Letting cotto go.... For the first time no catch weight cotto actually wanted to fight .. Letting cotto go was Gennadys worst mistake of his career.

Golovkin tried to get a fight with Martinez, but Martinez refused to fight him. Cotto refused to fight Golovkin, Quillin refused, Saunders refused, El Pollo refused................Oscar lied to Golovkin, would not allow him to fight Saunders for the WBO, now that Golovkin has passed on the Saunders fight, Oscar will have El Pollo to fight the winner of Lemieux/Saunders and leave Golovkin without a big money fight.................this was a dirty trick by Oscar, Oscar wants Golovkin to quit fighting until he is 40 years old, then fight El Pollo with Oscar's judges, referee, boxing commission.......................Golovkin was cheated, he should have never fallen for Oscar's lies...............Oscar's trick is to make Golovkin stay inactive or retire...............El Pollo does not want a rematch..................

There's this guy named Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. He's really good, he's the biggest money maker in boxing, and Golovkin fought to a draw with him six weeks ago in a great fight. I heard a rematch in May might be pretty cool.

There are a few options for Golovkin in his next match

    1. Canelo rematch
    2. Murata in Japan
    3. Jermall Charlo
    4. BJS-Lem winner
    5. Murata in America
    6. Derevyanchenko (may have to fight in Kazakhstan)
    7. Jacobs-Arias winner

This is in order of what would generate the most interest/money. These are all good fights and I would be interested in any of these. The priority of interest is very similar but I would swap #4 with #2 because I like unifications and keep everything else the same.

Oscar looks like he'd rather match Lemieux and Canelo than risk GGG again.

At this point if I were Golovkin I'd pencil in a fight for January and smash Derevyanchenko or Murata or Charlo. He can't risk hanging around, drying out like a stick of beef jerky, waiting for Oscar to decide whether Canelo's hormones are in the mood for the rematch in May.

If Lemieux beats Saunders, Golovkin ain't smelling that rematch because then the bet belongs to Oscar since he promotes both guys. If Saunders beats Lemmy, he'll probably take the easier fight for more cash vs Canelo. And Oscar would much rather that Canelo fights Saunders, who has zero chance of KO'ing Canelo and who can be screwed royally on the cards. Golovkin on the other hand may bring more money but he also brings the chance of a stiff Canelo being dragged off on a stretcher.

Canelo then i think he goes to 168. Can't see anything left for him to prove at 160. He could really cement his legacy at 168, loads of great fights but has he got enough years to clean up? I don't know.

If he can get the step asides, Murata in January in Japan would make perfect business sense. Murata imho is very beatable by GGG and a Japan superfight would draw huge audiences there. The fight I'd rather actually see would be the rematch or failing that one of his mandos.

I agree that Jacobs deserves a rematch but he is, imho, the most dangerous fighter at 160 bar Golovkin. Golovkin's management would have to be thick to put him back in with Jacobs while there's a chance of Canelo / GGG or fat, easy pickings (compared to Danny) in the form of Murata.

I'm afraid Jacobs is in the position that Golovkin was in a while back: very dangerous fighter that doesn't bring a big fan base. He's going to find it hard to get the big fights now. I mean, Oscar probably does the sign of the cross whenever Jacobs walks past.

Jacobs needs to go on an extended killing spree at 160, fighting often, to build his image up and / or to get himself back into a mando position again.

My point being cotto is a huge name. A legend. Charlo murata and derevychenko are not big names when canelo dosent want a rematch. And more than likley he won't. Ggg is gonna be left with no big money names . to the casual fan theyll be like whos charlo who's murata . cotto is the closest thing to canelo $$$ and that ship has sailed.

One things for sure, when he fights Canelo again, he should come out with a big **** off red white and green sombrero to mariachi music with the trumpets ablazin'.

You forgot Ward, Eubank and Mayweather also wanted nothing to do with him.
