Tony Bellew's commentary for AJ-Takam

To be fair, Bellew did a great job providing expert insight into how Joshua's preparation was disrupted by fighting Takam instead of the 6'7'' man-mountain that is Kubrat Pulev.

Prior to Saturday, I didn't realise that Pulev was that tall as he always looked shorter than the likes of Klitschko, Dimitrenko and Thompson. The ability to tell the viewer something they are not aware of is the hallmark of a quality pundit, and Bellew truly shines in that respect.

 

To be honest commentary doesn’t really affect me much I just get drawn in to the actually fight. However the commentary around the time of a knockout or an exciting bit of boxing makes a huge difference

 

Usually I'm good at ignoring the sky hype, but Bellew repeating that Pulev was 6ft7 ****ing triggered me.

 

It would also allow someone to put their own commentary over it as they watch it live and maybe upload it, which I think would be very cool.

 

Yeah, I never understand why people get so pissed off with commentary. I'm normally chatting over it anyway

 

I used to be a fan, but gone completely off him now, like you said sticking his tongue out etc, I mean love Wlad or hate him, he was a very good champion, put up a great fight against josh, and at the stoppage josh before turning away from Wlad just smiling at him, no respect for the guy whatsoever, how about he could have stayed with Wlad and said, you know what great fight...

That's the real aj trash and when they talk to him his all respectful like when him and breazele were doing the face off and he didn't know they were still filming his fake and a terrible actor don't know how his fooling these fanboys

 

Bellew was giving AJ a gee all night, was quite cringey to watch

 

Oh no no no, he knew they were filming, he just let his fake arse media gloves down.

Bully's get battered, and this young man is on the wrong path, he stands to lose every thing with one defeat, he just doesn't know it yet...

I have seen this all before, from lightweights to origami champions...

When the Hearns submit certain things, they WILL have things in order.

I doubt Joshua is clever enough to have anything he thinks is in order.

I think he should get a simple profit and loss account for himself, instead of looking at the bottom line.

Bellew is a complete knob he gives grief and biased bs about fighters he doesn’t personally get on with like Dillian Whyte but comes across as an infatuated lovesick puppy when talking about Joshua.

 

Former drug dealer says it's all and IMO is taking PEDs the mask is slipping like when he was talking to the fans like they were stupid in the post fight I mean the next Ali and he couldn't get rid of a tough opponent without the help of the Ref

 

It seems people are finally waking up to what Joshua's like. God knows why it's took everyone so long and what exactly has caused this reaction but even the casuals all over social media are turning on him haha. I'm a bit gutted because I'd rather have seen him ko'd whilst they were all still up his arse to see them cry.

 

Wow people are hating the man who is single handedly carrying British boxing. Not that I didn’t see it coming, Joshua has the looks, ability and personality; it must be hard for the self conscious to watch

 

Yeah, that annoyed me as well.

He's great at hiding how arrogant he is, but it comes out eventually.

Fury, I've never been a fan of, ever. But my god am I rooting for him to KO Josh.
