70-30 seems about right but Parker should take less as its a huge payday. It's not a huge fight over here
I remember Tua got 12 million for his title fight with Lewis in 2000 and he didn't have a belt. The fact is AJ is the draw in the UK. If it was held in NZ Parker would be the draw. It's relative. So if it was in NZ do you think it would be fair for Parker to offer AJ 20%? They are still missing out on the huge American market. If they tapped into that there would be more money than anyone would know what to do with.
As long as he isn't offering 80/20 as a take it or leave it, it's an ok offer. Everything's a negotiation. 75/25 with add ons is fine.
Anything above $5 million is an excellent purse for Parker and a figure that few fighters have achieved for a single purse. With the NZ money or a small % of the PPV maybe he could get even more?
AJ could fight an absolute bum and make more money than he could against Parker. It may even be more financially beneficial to fight bums... Until the paying public get sick of it. AJ may have take a pay cut to get Parker and Wilder over there.
I would think 70-30 should be fair. AJ is the draw here, the money available for this won't be anywhere else and it's not because Parker's name is on the headline.... Parker won't get as much as he would with that ratio even getting the majority in any other fight. On the flipside, he has a belt and a career and AJ is one of the only people who will be the a side against Parker - and AJ wants to unify. If Parker is going to be undersold then there is no point trying to unify, he can keep making defenses and will probably go alright there for a bit. The longer Parker holds his belt the more value it gets.

Not sure how you've equated Parker getting 33.3% plus 100% of Australasian money to Fast Eddie keeping all the live gate & PPV. If Parker is getting 33.3%, Fast Eddie/Joshua are getting 66.6% of all the other revenues excluding Australasian (Aust & NZ) money (which would mean Parker is getting a bit more than 33.3%).
You obviously didn't know Takam was in training camp for a fight this weekend, hearn told him be on standby a while back probably knowing pulev would pull out.
