I love to watch Golovkin fight, but Oscar has made Golovkin become inactive because Golovkin is the type of fighter who needs and wants to fight often, 3 or 4 times per years at least! Oscar will put Golovkin off until Golovkin is atg least 40.................face it, El Pollo will never fight Golovkin again. Mexicans like Golovkin, they do not like El Pollo and El Pollo is angry about it, so is Oscar the woman dresser!

at present, hes drawn with the last MW champion, Canelo, so its yet to be found out if hes better than the last one Canelo. This means at present hes the best since Canelo IE THE LAST MAIN ONE IMMEDIATELY PRECEEDING HIM, NEVERMIND THE ONE FROM 3 DECADES AGO.

However I believe 3G will give his all again into proving it next time that he is the best.

GGG is a greater middleweight than RJJ and Toney because he's fought there his whole career, so accomplished more at that weight.

I would give him a slight edge over Martinez for the same reason. Sergio did some good work at 154, but he didn't set any records at middle.

But Hopkins edges GGG in accomplishments and probably wins a fairly comfortable decision h2h.

Hopkins gets the greatest since Hagler honor.

    NO.

Jones has the W over Hopkins @ 160

Toney has the KO W over Nunn @ 160

Those wins defecate and urinate over the whole of Bumlovkin's resume. Period, end of...

I don't consider individual wins to be greatness. I consider that to be "goodness", which is a distinct concept. Jermain Taylor has two wins over Hopkins, but he's not greater because he has no notable track record at middleweight. No long reign, no dominant run.

Greatness at a given weight, for me, comes from doing rare things. GGG's KO streak, his record reign, those are things that mark greatness at his weight.

Roy and Toney both beat GGG h2h, and are greater P4P, but at MIDDLEWEIGHT, they don't have a track record or anything that sets or breaks a record.

He's the best MW since Hopkins, but H2H, he loses to RJJ, Nunn, McCallum, Toney, and Hopkins.

I agree those two wins were greater wins from a quality perspective but we have to weigh in GGG's longevity and dominance at 160 as well. His title defenses play a big part in where he stacks up. He's below Bhop but above Jones Jr at middleweight since Roy didn't make his career at 160.

    That's because YDKSAB.

Last I checked, Bumlovkin doesn't hold any records @ MW either. And before you start that nonsense about title defenses, interim titles are NOT world titles.

The Triple Duck has done N O T H I N G to be considered in the conversation as the greatest MW since Hagler, period. The FACT of the matter is this, Jones and Toney accomplished more @ the weight because they beat *vastly* superior opposition - regardless of their shorter tenure @ the weight. Quantity does NOT trump Quality, Einstein.

Longevity and dominance? LOL. Exactly WHO has he dominanted? Having a long stretch @ beating up on BUMs, STIFFs, TOMATO CANs, No Hopers and NEVER WEREs isn't the stuff of legend.

Sorry but defending a useless paper title against weak opposition is next to meaningless...

NOT according to his resume. Taylor, Pavlik and Martinez have all beaten better opposition..

Who did Hopkins beat when he made history defending the middleweight title 20 times? He had dominated and had a long stretch at 160 against the best in his era. It wasn't talent rich with any big names outside of Trinidad. He lost to Jones so we can't really count that.

No need to apologize G. It's the same as what GGG is doing in a less than stellar era of middleweights but there are good boxers...they just aren't big names.

Triple duck???What the **** has Ward done to you boys, your all corrupted. Its like he took control of all the weak and twisted them, then deserted them in their hour of need. He owed you boys a couple more fights after the blag with Kov..
