Let's crank this fantasy matchup machine up a gear.

Who do you guys think would win in a 12 round boxing match?
The best fighter in a 4,000 year time gap of human history?
    Or Anthony Joshua?

Somebody from the bare knuckle era would almost certainly have beaten him under their rules.

The earliest gloved fighter that you could make a plausible case for beating him is John L Sullivan.

That case might well hang on the fact that we don't know a lot about Sullivan, and therefore have a lot of leeway in interpreting him.

I'd put every penny I have on Joshua knocking him out within 5 minutes and I know you would as well.

First off, get rid of the 12 round pussyy fights and make it 15 as it always was and let's see if your boy can even last. A little bit of premature greatness ejaculation on this fighter don't you think? I think Wilder beats him and Ortiz also. You guys are getting kooky

You have absolutely no basis for that level of confidence. Zero. None. Nada.

Wilder hasn't beaten a rug, what a waste of space that kid is.

It's called common sense, I think the bookmakers would also use a bit of that as well.......

Common sense yields common results. It's highly overrated.

We both know who you'd put your money on even if only one of us will admit it.

For Sullivan to be knocked out within five minutes? Nope. I'll take your bet, happily.

Well what do we actually know about Sullivan?

    Not much really.

We know that he was about the same size as Joe Frazier, that he fought out of a crouch, and that his key strengths were power, hand speed, and finishing ability.

Do those parameters leave room for him to beat Joshua?

    Yes theoretically.

Theoretically a mouse can kill an elephant but the chances of that happening are slim to none.
