I don't think Bivol would be ready for Ward yet.

Look I'm really high on Bivol as well, but let's put this win into some perspective, it was Trent Broadhurst.:deal:

Beterbiev, Kovalev, Stevenson, Gvozdyk and Joe Smith Jr. all KO him in 1 as well.

That being said, Bivol is still a beast, but this win doesn't mean ****.

FU CST! Broadhurst has sugar in those fists! He'll be back! No shame in losing to an ATG.

our stocks are awfully low :(
compare aussie fighters of note to the number that , say, Britain turn out, and there's a massive gulf

Bivol, Beterbiev and Gvozdyk are all really talented and all very promising.

Ward loses to Gvozdyk, Bivol and Beterbiev for the record. It took him two matches to beat Kovalev, and the second one he was dirty as **** in, and at this point Kovalev is getting old, and has looked less than stellar in the lead up to both fights. All three of those guys are sharp and accurate as ****, they punch just as hard, if not harder than Kovalev. Ward was almost KO'd in two by the Krusher, the other 3 drop him and finish him off. Beterbiev would manhandle him and brutalize him, probably stop him in 4, Bivol and Gvozdyk would pick him apart and stop him late.

Would like to see Bivol incorporate a bit more defensive head movement into his game.

That's not to say his D is bad- his guard is tight and his defensive movement is pretty sound when it has to be. But his head stays center line more often than it should, and that means when he does get tagged, there's more of a chance that it will have more of an impact than it otherwise would had he rolled with or slipped it altogether. Plus it would give him even more opportunity to counter with something big...And as tonight proved, that's something he can do rather well.
