I never said Whyte was better than AJ. I'm not sure Wilder is better than Whyte though, because he's NEVER beaten a legit top ten contender before, till he does he's unproven at the top level.
And what exactly has Whyte done, aside from receiving a questionable decision over faded Chisora who just lost to a novice yesterday? I'd favour 2-0 Filip Hrgovic and 1-0 Joe Joyce over Whyte RIGHT NOW.
I got to say one of those right hands and there was probably THE ugliest I’ve ever seen. It look like my kids fighting Edit: Sorry wrong thread, make the fight happen I’ll definitely watch it
I think AJ has a mandatory defence early next year, potential fight with Fury at Wembley in the Summer. During that time, Wilder can surely keep busy building his brand. Breazeale is a start, as Dom is a fridge top ten contender. A bit slow and easy to hit and slightly non-aggressive which all play to Wilder's strengths. Wilder vs Whyte in the Summer than massive unification at the end of the year.
You do know many people on here would favour Whyte over Wilder on most boxing forums, right now don't you?
No , he is well known. Joshua is so massive now that all the casuals know who his potential opponents are and they are well aware that Wilder is is main rival. 80 ,000 people shouted 'Wilder' in Cardiff when Joshua was asked who he wanted to fight next. What he does in America isn't evidence of anything. If Wilder was British he'd be a PPV head liner. Why is nobody clamoring for Joshua to travel to the States to fight Wilder? Wouldn't beating Wilder State side introduce him to a massive audience in America ? Is that not a good business decision?
I said the Joshua fight is better than the Whtye fight. Nobody should want to see Wilder fight Whtye instead of Joshua , or make excuses why he should fight Whyte instead of Joshua.
That is not listen to what Hearn says, fight Whyte you get more money as it will be bigger in the UK with you knocking out Whyte.Dont fight Whyte then dont complain about a 80/20 split which is the worth of Joshua and Wilder seperately.Joshua is bringing 80% of the money to the fight,Wilder 20% which is the WBC.
Beating Wilder stateside ??? Aj's the draw, it happens in UK for obvious economical reasons. Its evident because his wage is 1.4 compared to 10x that of AJ's purse ! Nobodys clamouring because it would be the shittest business/money decision ever for AJ. AJ IS THE CASH COW ! 80'000 cheering for Wilder ?? c'mon mate
I guarentee you, Fury won't be ready for a fight like that by the summer. He's like 100 lbs overweight and I'm not even sure if he's licenced to fight in UK at all. Wilder in summer and Fury in late 2018 makes much more sense for AJ.
You base that on what exactly? Wilder's performances vs Washington(GW was outboxing him), a polish thug(was outboxing him) who got knocked out recently or Molina who's barely in the top 20 HW's? Whyte brings enough pressure to be a threat to Wilder, he'd be the most aggressive, young, legit guy he's faced in his entire career. Whyte has great footwork to get in range of Wilder as well, he's no Stiverne.
Hearn always talked about taking AJ around the world and said its inevitable that he fights in the US. Wouldn't beating Wilder be his best exposure he can get outside of the UK? Id rather see the fight happen in the UK anyway.
They should watch Whyte's fights against Chisora and Helenius. Whyte is not even a top 10 heavyweight. He is on Duhaupas' level.
