I had Chisora winning the fight by one round but any result: one round for Kabayel or Chisora and a draw would have been acceptable. Thought the Sky commentators especially Froch were being ridiculous. Kabayel boxed well and landed clean punches but Chisora was not just hitting glove and elbow, he was definitely landing a lot. From round 7 onwards his jab was landing consistently. I'd actually love to see a rematch early next year or on the Bellew-Haye undercard even though there's just a month to prepare lol, because that 12th round was fantastic. Chisora was let down by his lack of head movement and his belief that he could easily get Kabayel out of there. Not sure where Chisora goes next. If I was managing him I would push hard for a rematch or try to angle a fight with one of the prospects like Joyce or Dubois next year.
Good call on Joyce or Dubois, Chisora is definitely the man who'll give them adequate rounds that they need.
I think Chisora will now just turn into a good domestic gatekeeper. A test for the likes of Dubois and the domestic HW's to see where they are.
I didn't score it round by round but definitely thought it was close and my feeling was Chisora edging it. Towards the end Chisora was having much more success, scorecards were about right but unfortunate for Chisora to be on the wrong end of a close decision again.
I thought Journeyman Dull Boy Pakora fought his usual plodding pudding style that has bored the public to death outside the Dullian Shyte fight and deserved to lose narrowly on points.
Kabayel 7-5 Chisora I scored it. Close fight, could have gone either way. Definitely was not this one-sided boxing lesson the Sky bunch were talking about.
I had Chisora losing by a very wide margin. I only gave him 2-3 rounds, was getting hit too easy wasn’t landing enough. Loved Peter Fury’s tweet. I just told Kabeyal to move as Derek can’t ! Very true, his footwork is terrible.
"shades of Agit" Kabayel seemed to edge it, but it looked more like Chisora just did enough to lose. I'm not sure because I wasn't really paying much attention to it after getting bored a couple of rounds in. I really don't get Chisora, as he seems to be very inconsistent. He closely beat Whyte in my opinion and now he turned up like this, probably thinking it would be a walk in the park.
Weird, I only gave Chisora 3 rounds. I mean a lot of the ones he lost for me were not widely lost by any means, I think he just got outboxed comfortably and in the 12th when they traded he even got out fought.
He was in pretty poor shape...clearly a better boxer than this guy but didn’t have the fitness to fight with intensity and movement. When he used his jab it landed at will; get in shape and rematch if he can be arsed. Seems a silly fight to take, must’ve been paid decent money I assume?
Chisora has just lost a big pay day against Whyte... I just don't get Derek, he is constantly handed oppurtunities on a plate and just doesn't turn up, he's better than what he shows, but he just seems lazy and devoid of any motivation. Had the build up not been what it was agasint Whyte he'd have probably done the same there too rather than go to war like he did. Sky were absolutely awful during this fight! They were making out Kabayel was boxing his head off like Fury did. Would have thought with Chisora being the "home" fighter they'd have rimmed him a bit more... Right man won the fight but it was nowhere near as wide as Froch and Smith had it.
