His two rivals - who i had personally H2H rated above him - Anderson and Jones - were found out to be drug cheats. Who knows how long they were at it

His other rival - Clean rival - is Cormier. DC did the opposite of GSP - moved Down a division - and he dominated some absolute monsters. Impressive as it was, GSP's one fight at 160 against a paper champ doesnt remotely compare to what DC did at 205

Cormier is the GOAT UFC fighter, with GSP a clean 2nd

    ..........

    (some other observations)

I'm almost certain GSP will vacate. Once GSP took down a welterweight, they tended to stay there and couldnt do anything about it. When he took down weak Champ Bisping, Mike either got up straight away or battered him from the bottom (last time excluded of course). GSP has no business at 160

So either GSP retires, takes on the ultra dangerous and even more ultra boring Woodley, or they make a mega money mismatch in GSP vs Conor

And finally the 160 belt can be fought amongst the Elites who have been relegated to the wings in the name of money

I've always said the winner of last night's fight should get Whittaker and the loser should be forced to fight Romero. Well, that would make for a wonderful send off fight for Mike. Would be a sell out in England too

GSP is without a doubt the UFC GOAT after that.

160? Did he win a middle weight boxing belt last night?

Middleweight in MMA is 185 limit. There's no 160 in MMA - closest is Lightweight(155) which is basically JMW or Super Welterweight in boxing. 170 in MMA is Welterweight.

GSP, Fedor Emelianenko, Igor Vovchanchyn are the TBE’s. Stipe Miocic is the future though.

DC wasn't even the legit champ @ 205. He never won the belt, and when Jones came back he spanked DC.

He beat everyone there on the up. The only guy to beat him had to roid his ass off. Hats off to you for validating that

Of course there's doubt. He beat a paper champ. If he defends then we can talk

    As it stands, it's DC

Bisping isn't a paper champ. There's clear lineage. Yeah he's been a ***** since winning it but that doesn't take away from the feat achieved here.

He was the very definition of a paper champ

How much of a chance do you give GSP over Whittaker, Romero, Rockhold, Weidman or Jacare?

Huge respect to GSP, but he beat a pathetic excuse for a champ considering how stacked the division is

He was very beatable and would be a dog in most of those but was a legitimate champion because there's lineage. He beat Rockhold and then lost to GSP. Not hard to understand...

Didn't he defend against Hendo before losing to GSP? And before Rockhold he beat (albeit faded) Anderson. The guy did seem like he was getting better wih age.

You have no idea what you're even talking about. First of all GSP fought all his fights at 170 except the last fight which was at 185. So wtf are you even talking about 160 for. There's not even a 160 division ffs.

The case for GSP is a pretty strong one. 13 consecutive wins, all for championship fights. 20 wins tied for the most with Bisping, only 1 of 4 fighters to win two divisions. And l would agrue he fought the best comp in UFC history as when GSP was champ the division was staked.
I'm not even saying that GSP is necessarily the GOAT but at least l can make a case that he belongs in the discussion.

    It's beyond doubt.

The only many I had above him was Silva because the combination of his striking and ground game was out of this world.

DC, well when Jones decided to juice against him he basically conceded defeat in that fight so I don't mind him being in the discussion.

But GSP is a clear choice for me.

No one does what he did. No one.

GSP cleaned out the 170lb. division when it was THE top division in the UFC. He only has 2 losses and avenged them both. GSP has beat a both BJ Penn and Matt Hughes, who were considered to be possible ATG's at the time that they were beaten.

He moved up a weight class and beat the title holder at 185lb.

Whether Jones used PED's or not, DC needs to beat him to cement his shot at being ATG. Jones was considered that by many before his drug problems and in many people's eyes you still have to beat the champ to be the champ.

At this point in time, I would still consider GSP higher on the list.
