Well there's only one way to evaluate Byrd's card and that's by going through the rounds she scored for Canelo that the other judges didn't. Apparently you didn't read my comment where I said I didn't agree with some of the rounds Byrd scored to Canelo, that I personally thought it was too wide.

I did the same with the CJ Ross card in the Mayweather bout. See unlike some people, I'm happy to go through this stuff and really see if it checks out. Whereas some people shy away form this sort of thing. Right off the bat, I made it clear that I had Round 4 to Canelo but Round 5 to Triple G. (the opposite of how Bryd had it) But I admitted that those two rounds were darn close and I don't think it's unreasonable for anyone to give the 5th to Canelo as she did. Then you have rounds 6,8,&9. You cannot deny the bombs that Canelo landed on G in those rounds. Now were those bombs enough to overshadow what G did? Well lets talk about it, lets hear from BCS8. As of now, we just have a whole bunch of nonsensical ramblings as far as brown paper envelopes and corruption allegations and all sorts of BS. But no one seems to want to go through the rounds themselves, other than me it seems. Why is that?

Show that you're not a disgrace by having a willingness to go through the rounds and talk about what happened in the rounds. Otherwise you're just posting a bunch of nonsense.

My Point exactly....How any True Boxing Fan can say that Canelo won that Fight is beyond Me.....case closed....Canelo was on the Backfoot for 8 of the 12 rounds...Stevie Wonder could see he was in Survival Mode....

JD. You are being like this - if if you met a black guy, you'd reply "oh I get you, you're a white man! hurhurhur"

And you'd make that mistake same 7 times in a row, each time he told you he was black... good luck with that particular brand of madness.

What are you trying to say : that being on the backfoot means you lose the rounds?

You're generalizing to a large degree. He wasn't on the back foot for the entirety of the rounds. It was a mixture of standing toe to toe, walking G down, and fighting off the backfoot. Canelo was mixing it up to keep Gennady off balance. He wasn't doing any one thing for the entire round or for the majority of the fight. You need a healthy dose of nuance into your argument, and as far going through the rounds, that's not what you're doing. I had Canelo winning the fight, so I'm happy to go through that rounds with you. I had Canelo winning rounds 1,2,3,4,10,11,&12 for starters. 5,8,&9 were pretty much toss up rounds that could have went either way.

Whether or not you describe Canelo as being in Survival mode doesn't determine who won rounds. What determines who won rounds of course is clean effective punching which Canelo was doing round after round. You have yet to show a willingness to go through the rounds. I am a true boxing fan and your inability to see the fight through an unbiased lens is your problem not mine.

Canelo comprehensively outboxed Gennady, landed the far more impactful and hard punches round after round, put on a boxing clinic.

Canelo landed more Body shots than Gennady.

Canelo landed several crunching uppercuts that rocked and surprised Gennady.

Canelo made Gennady miss (punching air) with well timed upper body movement.

Canelo put a dent in Gennady's record. It was a thing of beauty and it's so satisfying to see Triple G fans so terrified of the rematch and delusional as a result.

    1) You have too much time on your hands.
    2)
    This content is protected
on the evaluation of the punches
    3) Stuff that you're going to describe as "head-snapping, bone-crunching" power shots I see as 'ok' punches that Golovkin walks through
    4) Stuff that I see as effective because it actually has an effect, you're going to deny and say "he was moving with the punch" and pretend that it doesn't exist
    5) We're going to be reduced to running slomo clips of punches and debating what percentage of the glove was in place when the shot landed
    6) I have limited time on my hands, as do most of the rest of this forum

    and most importantly

    7) 90% of the forum, 90% of the boxers polled, agree that GGG won, no matter what your evaluations are. And that's just as the official result is going to remain a dodgy draw, as so many other official results have through time.

We don't have to go through the fight frame by frame, upside down, whistling 'Dixie' to come to that conclusion. I actually went through the fight in slomo up to the 10th, and all it did was consolidate my opinion that:

    (a) Golovkin's defense is much better than it looks. For example half the body shots you're going to get excited by were picked off by the arm he kept in place for that purpose. That's new, just like Canelo's miraculous footwork is new
    (b) Golovkin won it 8-4 and not 7-5 as I first evaluated.

Frankly I want to see the rematch, although right now it looks like Canelo wants to age GGG a bit more first.

You should maybe take your undeniable talent at producing masses of writing and get paid for it. Somebody out there will have a use for your nimble fingers ;)

Blah. Blah. I dont have to analyze the *****'s scorecard.

There was so much out cry over Byrd' s score, Bob Bennett had to address the media and apologize for her, saying she had a bad night. She has reportedly been suspended/benched from all fight scoring for the unforseeable future, and a commision official told the LA Times she will never work a major fight again. The controversy speaks for itself, you ****ing tool.

There was very much outcry over her score, you got that right. "Reportedly?" Are you aware that she judged another fight on Oct 21st in Vegas?

Yes...thats what was reported at the time. That was the official statement.

No. I wasnt aware. It looks like they snuck her on a nothing card. Doesnt change ****, she is done as a major fight judge. Her score card was universally panned.
