I'd be surprised if the reason wasn't Don King. Goddamn that guy needs to retire and die.

Save all your worry for AJ, Fury can handle himself. ;-)

BTW, that's a very impressive video library you've built up on YouTube. Loved the recent entries on Morrison and LaMotta (haNZAgod also made a nice one uncovering Jake's sadly obscured skillset, though I expect you've seen it). You have a talent.

He definitely had that "Bruce Seldon" look about him.

FFS Stiverne didn't throw a punch and was obviously in there just for the payday. He'd have fallen down on his own volition in the 2nd or 3rd round but Wilder put him out of his misery a little quicker and with more pain.

I'm not a Wilder hater but puleezzzz put this in context. Tye Fields looked awesome KO'ing Bruce "I have the Bruce Seldon Look" Seldon.

Then Monte Barrett removed Fields from the list of real HW's.

Wilder is still unproven IMO. He still needs to fight a live body before I get on his bandwagon. I will, ho

    This was Wilder's 39th fight.

It wasn't Wilder's fault that the corrupt WBO had Stiverne as his mando. And he did what he had to do with what was in front of him.

Just don't make it seem as though he KO'd an ATG opponent (like Joshua did in his fight before last).

Gotta admit, though, regardless of the quality of opponent, rez's point stands. The fashion in which Wilder demolished that pudding was certainly dramatic and fun to behold. Crushing a previous titlist like that lends itself to hyping up bigger fights.

I agree it was an awesome KO. Plus, it was a straight right hand that first put the Haitian down, not a wild ass crazy open-for-a-counter-lefthook punch. I get that. It's just that the opponent wasn't putting up any fight at all.

Basically Wilder ko'd internet troll Charlie Zelenoff again.

Never once have I said that Bermane is an ATG. That would be insane.

But if there was one awesome way to take out an over the hill fighter like Bermane, it was that!

You can look awesome by putting on a dominant performance against an overmatched opponent. Not sure why Wilder should be the exception.

Anyway, I think anyone who lets these negative Wilder tropes get to their thinking are doing themselves a huge disservice and are skewing what should be an exciting experience of watching a potential future ATG doing his thing.
