That's a great list, i think they have the top 6 pegged well. Some might push Tyson above Holyfield but both deserve to be highly rated. Ike stands out a bit even if low. Hopefully AJ and Wilder (or even Fury) push those bottom 2 out later.

 

Aside from the top 4, none of the rest in that list is a "great". You're just being disingenuous now because I don't think Ivan Drago is anything other than a boring arm puncher who never beat anyone great or beat everyone else. At least Wlad did the second one.

To me, Holyfield is overrated, and if we are talking since 1987, So it Tyson.

Vitali is up for the boxing hall of fame this year. He'll likely be approved, so I guess the voters too vastly overrate him.

Me saying I'm fine with him being ranked 5th best from 1987 is not an admission of greatness.

There have been 4 champions of merit in those 30 years. And that number over that period of years is about average with history.

Outside of that 4, which I believe to be, in my own order;
Lewis
Tyson
Wlad
Holyfield
- there is no other real strength. Vitali is 5th, he's the best of the also rans. He is nothing of note.

I think the top three are about right. I think Ray Mercer and Oliver McCall were better than Ibeabuchi. Ruiz too.

 

Yep, the top 4 are really in a league of their own. Then there's Vitaly or Bowe. But it's quite a drop between 4th and 5th.

Pretty decent list. Only significant change I'd make is putting Wlad above Holyfield and Tyson.

 

I almost "liked" this but you threw Ruiz in there. Kinda had me scratching my head.

 

Poor list Foreman,W. Klitschko, Moorer,Ibeabuchi,Byrd are overrated.

 

You could juggle the top 4 pretty much any way you'd like and have a case for it. That's where the tier cutoff is.

 

Foreman should not be on there.

Ibeabuchi only in a head to head sense.

I assume active fighters do not count.

 

A bad style match up. A guy that big usually lacks a coherent inside game. Bowe is best SHW inside fighter we've seen. Holy got beat up inside where he was supposed to dominate and couldn't really stay out due to Bowe's longer jab. Holyfield was forced into plan C against Bowe which was mid-range lateral movement. Holy was never a great mid-range puncher.
