AJ responds, Wilder talks about future

Feel a little underwhelmed but he pretty much said talks will begin and he isn’t ducking anyone.

Interesting he seemed to me he snapped at Kugan alittle. Not sure if he got the wrong end of the stick kugan seemed to be reaffirming what AJ was saying not disagreeing when then talked Eddie Hearns comments

 

Can't wait for them to talk **** at each other for 3 more years while fighting basic competition and arguing about money

 

They just need to make this fight happen.. so much bs.. trash talk and fooling the fans while both fighting gatekeepers and tomato cans in the meantime.. Creating a build up and by the time they fight they both already arent not the same.. SMH

 

I couldn't keep up with AJ explaining, he's blown my head with that interview. Worse than Hopkins if your looking for simple explanation !

 

His explanation was clear

Whyte is not and never has been (other than when they fought) a part of his strategy, he’s a rival not a stablemate or a co-fighter under Hearns promotions team. Neither he nor Hearn are using Whyte as part of a larger strategy to get to Joshua because despite having a promoter in common they have nothing to do with each other’s businesses.

The offer from Hearn to fight Whyte had nothing whatsoever to do with Joshua!

It was a legitimate fight on its own merits both as a highly ranked WBC contender and a fight that is right for both men involved (Wilder & Whyte).
In their minds, Wilders team, couldn’t separate Joshua from Whyte purely on the basis they they shared the same promoter. It was a fight that Whyte requested his promoter to get and duly Hearn offered Wilder a great financial deal ($4 Million) which he turned down and fought Stiverne for $1.2 Million instead. Go figure?

Imagine, if you will, that Warren was Whyte’s promoter and not Hearn, how ridiculous would it be for a Wilders team to insist on Joshua being part of the deal.

As for Wilder Vs Joshua, despite all the YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and interviews where Wilder has called out Joshua, Wilders team haven’t been directly in touch or made any kind of offer. It’s all bluster and hot air which is only missing the words ‘so make us an offer’ on the end of every rant. Quite frankly they’re being ridiculous.

Joshua in the meantime has instructed Hearn to get him Unification fights with Parker and Wilder.

Exactly. Not forgetting Whyte only 2 weeks ago on IFL confirmed he doesn't even have a contract with Matchroom and he can walk away whenever he wants.

Its absurd to think 2 fights should be rolled into one like Wilder wants.

 

Then if i was Wilder who is a ***** but this point is important,if he Ko's Whyte in London which is a good chance.What is the point of fighting Whyte if it dosent result in a AJ fight Next.Wilder uses the WBC for the Cashout that's his bargaining chip and AJ is the one he needs to fight to maximise the money not Whyte.I Cold heartedly agree with Wilder here what is the point of fighting Whyte if their is no Gurantee to get AJ Next.Hearn ane AJ could easily decide if Wilder knocks out Dillian that we are going to hold it up,then what was the point of Wilder coming to the UK.Best Solution is Wilder fights Whyte,AJ fight Parker in Febuary and Match then the winners both Clash in the summer,likely to be AJ and Wilder.But Hearn should put in a Written Agreement that if Wilder wins he gets to fight AJ next clearing it with Governing bodies,no Numbers discussed just a written contractual agreement

 

Seems pretty simple too me.

1. Fight Whyte for $4 mil. Beat Whyte and look good doing so will naturally lead to an AJ fight. Hearn isn't stupid and wont leave money on the table.

2. Fight Breazele for £1 mil and still not be guaranteed the AJ fight.

If Wilder wants AJ in 2018 the quickest way to get that done is to fight Whyte and Knock him out.

 

the whyte/chisora fight was actually a wbc eliminator, why the whyte/wilder fighter didn't happen I don't know and now brezeale beats Molina in another eliminator

Wilder v Whyte has NOTHING to do with Joshua!

Wilder should fight Whyte because Whyte is a live contender, a real genuine challenge, the WBCs No1 ranked fighter, OH and Wilder would make 4X his biggest purse ever!

All of which has no more to do with Anthony Joshua than when Wilder negotiated and fought Duaphas. They are totally seperate fights, fighters and have no connection!

 

If Povetkin is cleared by the WBC which looks like it will be the case, Wilder and him have unfinished business as far as I'm concerned.
