I'm consciously tempted to see him as he actually was six feet one and a,half inches tall and perfectly trained at 200lbs. Anything inaccurate about my statement?

An inch and a half and you have the cheek to call me an idiot hahahaha, that's fcuk all you moron!

I'v seen numorous pics of Ali and Louis together hanging out and there's not much size difference between the pair, don't tell me.... Ali walked around the streets in his boxing shoes.

No the weights are recorded in front of witnesses and the oppositions team and are open to the public so they are on the level. Talking of weight joe Louis weighed 218 when he fought Charles half a pound more than you quoted Foreman weighed when he won the title. Obviously Louis was 36 then and George 24 but I don't think joe looked fat at 218 and I think with different training methods he could of been 220 as a young man and if he was boxing now iv little doubt he would be. What do you think?

Liston was way smaller than Foreman but they did spar and George said it was hell sparring with that kind of power, Sonny was the only guy that could back George up.

Foreman was 220lbs, that was the average weight of a top heavyweight in the 90`s let alone Louis`s era, Foreman`s fighting body was far thicker than Louis`s fighting weight, you can see that.

Take your thumb and index finger, hold them apart one and a half inches, and then repost how it's some monstrous size difference.

    Please. THEY ARE HEAVYWEIGHTS.

The heavyweight champion is supposed to be able to beat EVERY MAN in the world, regardless of size.

One inch and a dozen or so pounds means ZIP.

David Haye gave up A FOOT in height and 100 pounds in weight to Nicolay Valuev and not only took his title but had him stumbling around the ring in the last round.

You can whine about size differences in the lower weight classes, where if someone comes in a pound heavier everyone wets their pants and cries foul.

At heavyweight, none of that matters. You have to beat the man in front of you, no matter how tall he is or how much he weighs.

And Joe Louis doesn't look like he'd be giving up much of anything compared to those guys.

I think I couldn't give a flying f*ck what he would weigh today, I am dealing with reality and the reality is for 19 of his title defences Louis was under 205lbs!

Louis was slow at 218 and probably couldn`t get into peak condition anymore if he could use modern diets and weight programs to build up to 220 he might still be slow it`s just not his fighting weight. Holy could do it though.

The statement would seem correct right up until he stands next to guy listed taller and appears the same size.

How Often we have fights where the commentators say their both listed at this height but so and so looks markedly taller/Shorter.

Tale of the tape is a rough guide. That's all. And if the height is simply down to the person being measured it is open to abuse.

You are missing the point entirely a poster Choklab has stated that Louis was easily the same size as Foreman and Norton and this is patently not true! How it would affect them in respective fights with each other is irrelevant!

So Louis was lying when he said he was six feet one and a half inches tall? Okay thanks. Ever seen Foreman and Norton described as under six feet three inches tall? How about Louis being over 20lbs lighter when he won the title than Foreman was? Don't tell me Foreman had weights in his trunks!
