damn.. holyfield really had slowed down his punch output by then. still good technique, almost always, but much less active.

 

But in the fight before this he had way more left than Tyson.

 

His stamina was very inconsistent at this weight, thats why he was mauling and "doing the John ruiz" against tyson in the rematch instead of fighting him like he did in the first fight.
But he had good power at 215 and was always very strong for his weight

 

This couldn't have been on November 8, 1996 because Holyfield fought Tyson November 9, 1996 and I know he didn't fight them both back to back one night apart.

 

He could have and would have still been victorious.

 

No he wouldn't.

 

Was this before he had heart trouble from voluminous ped intake?

 

One of the more underrated wins on Holyfield's resume. Moorer still boasted a gorgeous record going into this fight, something like 39-1, although his previous wins after losing to Foreman betrayed some very inconsistent form.

Nevertheless it was a good win for Holyfield. He'd lost the first fight in a case where he, the ultimate clutch performer had essentially let the fight slip away (albeit health concerns play a huge part). To come back and get revenge over a guy of Moorer's stature shows something.
