In all honesty I think Norton was built up. George was a big guy on his own. Joe Louis was not so heavy but he three are comparable in appearance in a superficial sense. Heavyweights

Any way you check it Louis is the same size as Foreman and Norton. Lol it's not even debatable. You're arguing centimeters here.

Why are we even debating this?

Have we become that obsessed with size?

If the difference is down to a few pounds, then why even raise the matter?

At that point you go to styles and resumes.

The clip mysteriously ends right before the camera pans out to reveal that Louis is wearing heeled cowboy-style boots.

Louis grew in height .....there are many Louis and Ali and foreman photos both in street clothes that display very similar height...Louis was a little taller for the simon bouts than when he first started

I raised the matter because Choklab said a clip of a middle aged Joe Louis in street clothes and street shoes, standing with Foreman and Norton proves," he was easily the same size".
I'm not obsessed with size, just the truth.
    Louis was :
An inch and a half shorter than Foreman
Two inches smaller round the chest
An inch and a half smaller in the forearm
Two and a half inches smaller in the biceps.
Two,and a half inches shorter in reach.
Two inches smaller in the calf.
Five inches smaller in the thigh.
An inch and a half slimmer in the neck.
Twenty plus lbs lighter when both won their respective titles.
None of these measurements prove Foreman would necessarily beat Foreman.
What they do prove however is Foreman is clearly and unarguably, significantly the bigger man.
    That is irrefutable and incontrovertible.
That is all I am stating.
And none of The Earth Is Flat Gang will change these cold hard facts.

Those are cold ,hard facts not obsessions

Yes and George in contrast grew progressively shorter.lol.
If Louis was still alive today,I expect he would be at least seven feet tall!

Yeah, Foreman suddenly becomes 7'3 330 pounds of carved out of marble muscle (instead of the 6'3 220-225 lbs he actually was) who can bench press a school bus with a class of high schoolers inside of it, can only be KO'd by Ali or by dropping an atomic bomb directly on top of him (even then, that's questionable) and who's punches can demolish vacant skyscrapers.

At least when he's matched up against Louis or Tyson.

I thought all boxers walked around in boxing boots and boxing shorts shirtless all the time, every time. And wearing boxing gloves

Foreman really doesn't need exaggerating. He's plenty big and powerful enough in his own right. His devastations of Norton and Frazier need no embellishment and it's plain to see what he was capable of.

His comeback simply re-iterates how awesome he had been.

He also performs well above his actual weight, ridiculously so.

I'm not saying he needs it, just how I see it how people tend to exaggerate him.

Except for purposes of physical comparison, he isn't matched up against anyone on this thread !

I haven't exaggerated him.I've given his correct height and weight. The exaggeration has come from those insisting Joe Louis was the same size as him ,and this is just not so! Why they feel the need to pursue this absurd line I have no idea ,at no time on this thread have I suggested it indicates Foreman would beat Louis!
