No one on planet earth who still has their mind intact thinks Louis is the same size as Foreman. Height is subjective but boxing shoes are flat footed,im sure Louis isnt wearing socks in that vid is he? If they fought when they were actually boxing Foreman dwarfs Louis, and put him against 90's foreman and it would literally be 3 weight classes apart if you could create that....lol

Choklab come back to earth ,im begging you! :abduct::abduction:

Official tale of the tape listings:

    Foreman 6'3.5"
    Norton 6'3"
    Louis 6'2"

It shouldnt be shocking they appear to be in the same height range, because they likely are.

Weight depends on how you match them.

I think it's between him and Dempsey imo. Honorable mention to Langford.

Louis is in clothes probably 240+ by this age and wearing street shoes.....is this a joke Louis didn't have the frame of Norton or Foreman who were just larger

No doubt Louis was a big fighter in his era but Foreman, Norton, Ali and others were bigger....they were the prototypes of the bigger heavyweights post Marciano

To my knowledge, this isn't about range, but if Louis is the same size as Foreman. To which it would be obvious by appearances, tale of the tap, bone structure, you name it; if we saw them standing next to one another, in their prime, One would say Foreman, he's the bigger guy. Nobody is saying they aren't "close", that's relative anyways, but in their prime, Foreman would be the bigger guy in the ring that night. Period

Yeah, it seems like Heavyweights weigh more compared to their predecessors of similar height. Perhaps you compensate for it move from the need to make head to head comparisons.

Size would not be an issue for Louis vs Foreman or Norton. In my opinion, Joe would KO George and utterly destroy Norton.

Choklab has many great, erudite posts, agree with him or not.

He is merely mistaken in this matter.
The original problem, besides likely wishful thinking, is not accounting for equalizing for clothes, shoes, & post-career weight.

Both in actual measurements & visible bone structure & muscle, Foreman is somewhat larger than Louis. Unlike other HWs, I think some of the former's dimensions were shortchanged-I have lifted for years & measured arms, & no way do Foreman's biceps look "only" 15.5". Maybe without flexing!

George & Joe being broadly in the same ballpark, not a small HW vs. a SHW, does not obviate this reality.

Put it this way, Louis is closer in size to Foreman than Foreman is to a Lennox Lewis or an Anthony Joshua.
