Yeah Quigg was too quiet v Frampton, could quite easily see him reversing that with a different corner. Don't think I would've gone to Roach though, never like the idea of a trainer not guaranteed to be in his fighters corner, plus I don't like the feel of him as a person, how he comes across, money man a bit imo. I think a lack of confidence as well affected him v Frampton, like a bit shy..Quality quality fighter regardless. A fella I have no probs backing personality wise either !

He did have his jaw broke and a change of trainer, big things to take in to account really. We'll see tonight if hes still not looking right. I'd sack Freddie Roach off though either way

Unsubtle is the way to describe Quigg tonight. He just walked throught the other guy and stomped him. He just had no respect for the opponent's power.

I've noticed him sounding a bit punchy too. Hope it's just a quirk of his and not something more sinister.

I don't think I am looking too much into things mate, wether it clicks for Quigg or not all three of the things I mentioned are possibly factors in why he hasn't looked that good. Tbh watching him last night in the first two rounds he did take too much punches but he seemed to get his range and I saw a few subtle moves that he would never have done before.

I actually wonder if the move to Feather although only 4 pounds means that Quigg has lost something from his armoury? He just doesn't seem as explosive, I'm not going to write Quigg off yet but he really does need to step it up if he is to challenge for world honours.

He needs to jab his way in for a start. How many jabs did he throw last night? It's all very well for him to say he did it so crudely because he had nothing to fear coming back but there is no guarantee that he can just flick a switch and suddenly become a boxer when he steps up. Unless he adds more dimensions to his game he is a ko waiting to happen when he steps up.

Agreed. I think Scott is better than he showed last night but it isn't a good sign when he decides to defend with his face.

Indeed. Why oh why is he not using these "learning fights" to ....er.....learn!
Practice the moves he will need to use if he steps up.
Instead he plods forward as it "defence" is the wooden thing around his garden!

Those lead right haymakers that kept missing....you'd see better at pub closing time!

Roach is not in the slightest bit interested in Quigg, not a big enough name. I'm sure he is happy picking up the pay cheque though. I bet he doesn't even take Quigg on the pads in training.

He's talking about LSC and Mares, both stop him in my opinion.

Really? Why do you say that? Frampton couldn't do it and mares is feather fisted. He ...literally.....hits like a girl. Remember him in the "science" Programme on TV where they compared his punch power to Lucia Ryker? Guess who hit harder? LSC is not a bomber either. Doubt they stop Quigg.

Quigg blocks punches with his face. Frampton fought a back foot, defensive fight and outboxed Quigg easily (despite the SD and how sky tried to spin it) LSC and Mares will not fight as defensive as Framps and will tag Quigg at will, he will be stopped. LSC will definitely stop him, Mares probably stops him.

I don't think roach can even do pad work much these days to be fair. He gets gradually worse day by day, medication only does so much
