    Did Chuvalo have good defence?

So if Marciano had bad defence he would have been even more cut and marked up than he actually was? That's like saying if Wlad had a bad chin he would have been ko'd more than he was!

It's funny, but not terribly convincing as a logical answer I'm afraid!

Actually only Holyfield out of those 4 beat him, and he would beat Marciano too.
    Walcott nearly did!

True. I'd venture to say that the Walcott from Louis 1, likely wins a wide UD against Rocky

They all beat him. Bald Foreman never won convincingly on points even with the gargantuan size advantage he always had. This is because he always got hit so much all the darn time.

How many elite punchers who knocked out elite men, did george fight on that comeback?

If you take away Holyfeild, Morrison, Stewart, saverese, Schulz who he could not beat beyond dispute anyway what are you left with?

The "punchers chance" win over Moorer. A fight that he lost every moment of before that one-two.

Comeback George never beat an elite career heavyweight. That's the truth.

People almost seem to be blinded by the name, and unable to see the record!

It's at least a reasonable possibility, conceivably Charles too. Sits back and awaits the hate posts!

Foreman dropped stewart twice and was the aggresor the whole fight. 2 judges scores it foreman, one even. Ap scorecard and leserman also scored it for foreman. Both men landed many punches it was hardly a "robbery".

As for the shulz fight, Foreman landed 249 of 543 punches. Schulz landed 229 of 482. So again i have to ask how schulz got "robbed" of foreman landed more and it was close on the scorecards, not a wide lopsided victory.

I know the answer: because u hate foreman.

And no, holyfield would kick rockys ass. Boxing doesnt work like that anyway, fighter a b and c logic. Otherwise, foreman would have beat ali sence he beat frazier who beat ali.

I tell you what is made up -including the kinds of assets that Foreman was unable to use in any satisfactory way against elite fighters anymore. His jab against good fighters was rarely an issue. He landed one a round. And that would be against guys who stood in a tall stance. His wrap round defence was penetrated by every half decent fighter he fought in his comeback. Thank god Bald George never fought elite punchers. His height never stopped an even shorter Dwight Qawi find his chin. With two good knees, a bit more notice and Rockys power Qawi would have knocked George into a permanent retirement.

Can you imagine Rocky hitting Bald George like Ken Lacusta did?? What other world class man did Ken wobble? Lacusta fought a who's who of the division. He hurt nobody else.

yes in a learning fight, before he was world champion. He was not some 30lb heavier former champion but a guy learning his craft. But if you want to go down that road let me tell you something all Foreman fans pretend never happened..when George truly was a great fighter with hair, in 1972 when rated as #1 contender, George fought a man that was knocked out 13 times of only 15 fights he had ever had!!!

Schulz did beat him. That's why a rematch was ordered and why George dumped his belts to fight unranked guys.

oh please. Where is the film of the Lastarza fight Rocky lost? And if he did deserve to lose so what. Lastarza had equal billing and was rated at that time. No shame in that. If Bald George fought actual rated guys that were regarded with equal stature like say Ruddock or Lewis or Bruno he would have been knocked out. George used his popularity to avoid the fights knew he would have lost. Where as Rocky was an underdog against Layne and Louis. Fights Rockywon. George was matched to win the whole time apart from the Holyfeild and Morison fights. He lost both of those.

and how high does Moorer rate on ATG heavyweight lists? Come on. Out with it. Where does he rank for durability? How many champions would not be given a huge chance of beating Moorer for the title. George did not deserve that title fight. He lost his last bout. It's plain that Moorer was not going to be a champion very long.

do you mean Archie Moore who taught George the cross arm defence that Rocky overcame when he beat Archie? Or do you mean Michael Moorer the guy that somehow managed to lose to massive underdog?

It's not hate. It's just pointing out the obvious.

This is when I know you are beat.

Can't disagree use the hate card.

George Forman was a great ATG fighter who could beat top ten ATG heavyweights. He really was. But it is Strictly first time around only.

We all hoped George would do well in his comeback but he was only capable. Bald George is not beating any top ten ATG champions. No way.

Henry Cooper hurt ali with his sledgehammer left. What other world class man did henry cooper wobble? Could you imagine david tua hitting ali with his left? Cooper exposed ali.

See how flawed your logic is? Getting rocked once doesnt suddenly mean anybody could have beaten someone.

Difference is some people actually thought rocky lost when he went the distance with said mr. 50 losses.

What part of foreman landed more punches than schulz do u not understand? It was a CLOSE fight but not a ROBBERY, theres a difference but youre not going to see it that way because you hate certain fighters but pretend like youre just being "objective". Everyone has caught onto your bs. I know everyone needs a hobby but this is just sad honestly.

A rematch happens or is ordered when theres a close fight. Foreman won by MD and landed more punches, thats hardly a robbery. One would think someone who has such knowledge of boxing history would understand this basic concept.

So you dont like it when people give you a taste of your own medicine. Fine, then let me continue.

Rocky had a dubious, unremarkable amateur career.

Fought his brother under different aliases to boost his career.

Fought mostly cruiserweight sized has beens and shopworn guys with over 10 losses at the time.

Was exposed against la starza and given a clear gift.

Fought ted lowry, a guy with over 50 losses, was rocked hard, nearly koed. Lowry was robbed.

Took 8 rounds to stop a damn near middle aged joe louis.

Was dropped in the first round against walcott, a 38 year old with over 10 losses. Walcott gave him a boxing lesson and battered him for 13 rounds before rocky pulled a suzy q out his ass. Sound familiar? If u want ti criticize foremans "lucky" come from behind punch against michael moore, heres rockys equivalent.

Rocky gets his face rearranged by a skinny light heavyweight with ALS charles. Fight should have been stopped on cuts, but rockys mob connections allowed it to continue. He had to fight this guy twice just to make it convincing.

Archie Moore kicked his ass just to prove he could, then took a dive and got a sweet stack of money under the table.

Rocky Marciano, biggest manufactured fraud in the history of the heavyweight division. Carefully and cleverly guided to the title in excellent matchmaking and then retires just as some decent contensers (ingo, floyd, liston, machen) come around the corner to preserve his record.

You missed it entirely. Whats obvious about Marciano beating a younger version of the 38years old Walcott who was leading him on points and had dropped him in the first round?
What makes it a foregone conclusion that Rocky beats a younger, fresher Charles who doesn't have the mileage of 96 fights on his clock, a Charles whom Springs Toledo ,in his excellent book," In The Cheap Seats," speculates may have already been suffering from the arterial sclerosis that left him imprisoned in a wheel chair?
