What a shame Crawford has left 140 as this would be a dream fight.

This guy will be the #1 at 140 within the next 12 months.

    Discuss.

Vasquez is well past his best now though, so I wouldn't read too much into a stoppage.

How easily was he winning the fight on boxing ability is what should be looked at.

Taylor is really good, one of the very best young contenders full stop.

So what? Bradley is a feather fist and Canelo was a teen when they fought.

Nothing against Taylor though, it's still a very good win.

Bud leaving 140 was the best decision to cement an ATG legacy, Josh Taylor has done nothing yet at 140.

Bud would knock him stiff out tbh

That being said, Bud's gonna have his hands full and this guy looks to be the goods and will be do very well at 140.

Vazquez has fought canelo twice, it's a impressive feat to knockout a guy who's never been stopped.

Vasquez is a career lightweight and the two aforementioned fighters either had no power or were green.

Nothing against Taylor, he did what he was supposed to do against Vasquez. But it's not the same thing as say knocking out even a guy like Danny Garcia at 140 pounds.

He's done a lot at 140 for 11 fights, not sure what your point is

Taylor has a big future. Very strong at the weight and relentless with both hands. Too much for Vasquez.

Vasquez fought for years at 140 before moving down to 135

He wouldn't have been a name that came up for Bud even at this point even if Bud stayed, that's my point.

There's always going to be the next guy up.

Bud moved up at the absolute perfect time IMO, having collected all 4 straps.

    Nothing more than that.

That's a fair point, too soon for Taylor I agree.

This. Vasquez has almost 50 fights and hasn't looked good in years. We'll find out soon enough if Taylor is the man or not.
