Maybe Liam Smith is copying the Mayweather / Broner marketing model: trading on his unpopularity and unlikeability, to the point where he hopes it translates to punters paying good money in the hopes of seeing him get bashed up.

 

Yes well keep you’re chin up as your cards at least are always imo bang on the money esp when you give us punch by punch commentary.

 

Williams is just as skillful, harder hitting and way more speed, pity he has a pea sized heart and no stamina.

I have always said Smith is a very good boxer with zero x factor, the bloke would be a world beater if he had some athletic ability. No power and terribly slow but he has some brains and a huge ticker

 

Funny thing is, Japan might be the only nation on the planet that we can expect fair scoring from. You barely get a terrible card there (Except Murata/N'Jakam and it was their own fighter!). Most of the cards there are spot on, there's rarely home cooking there.

The other nations (America, UK, Germany, etc etc), forget about it. (This is not nationalistic, just telling it as it is)

Yes fair comment,not up on Japan as I’m too much of a casual but I know guys like Shawn Newton love that scene

 

Just too late now to get away from that awful Joe Gallagher UK style stuff,same with Crolla whom I always liked but they just come unstuck at world level under Gallagher

Most people (Including myself) can't keep up with it, the cards in Japan occur during ungodly hours in the States. 3-5 AM, I can't be bothered to get tired at work and wake up for that LOL.
