Twitter Rumours: Haye Injured

Eddie Hearn replied to somebody asking about this on instagram.

Well that has settled it for me...

 

I’ve said it so many times...you have to use your head with this. These fighters are hard as nails, they are athletes and they have balls of steel to get in the ring but they’re not super human. He ruptured his Achilles’ tendon...that’s it, he’s finished. You don’t come back from that. Same with the shoulder reconstruction. I expect the fight to go ahead but once again, after Bellew does the job, he won’t get any respect for it.

 

I actually have a air of Respect for him forgetting the Toe incident,i always enjoyed his fights,entertaining espically at Crusier.Look at the Pain he is going through to get money and secure his future,his kid,his family.So i Understand it will be hard to give up,but as he said he wanted to retire at 30.He is 7 years past his deadline

 

After reading the comments on here about Haye over the years.. my answer is..

I'm surprised he is even fighting, injured or not, his body is done.

How bad are the boxing medicals here that Haye seems to pass them yet is always injured?

It must be questioned why Haye passes these medicals yet is said to be carrying serious injuries in to fights.

He went in to the Bellew fight last time with a serious achilles problem and it wasn't picked up.

If I was a fighter I wouldn't be happy, a medical is there to protect the fighters and if they can't see a fighter hobbling in to a medical is injured then there are serious issues that need resolving.

 

if this is true that hes injured he should just retire.. its clear his body can't take a training camp anymore.

 

Let this be a lesson kids... If you're going to get married don't **** about. You'll end up destitute and working when you should be enjoying the fruits of your labour

Hearn has denied the rumors.

 

He doesn't need to deny anything, you don't recover from that injury and fight within 9 months.

All I have seen is Hearn deny the fight is going to be called off, he hasn't denied Haye is injured?

 

Lets get one thing straight Haye didnt go into the last fight injured. If he was carrying an achilles strain he would have worn strapping and higher up boots. He didnt. Debunked on that.

Also some of his other injury pull outs were clear ducks or because he thought he had a higher paid fight instead.

Yes he has injury problems in part by being obsessed by having a body builder physique. But thats self inflicted.
