@Mr.DagoWop i was giving choklab a taste of his own medicine since he wants to ignore facts, change history, and spin things to suit his agenda. It is literally impossible to have an honest objective conversation with him in regards to certain fighters (liston, foreman, the klitschkos, etc).

The sad part is i dont think hes trolling or aware that hes being misleading. I think he honestly believes hes being fair and objective and the people calling him out on his bs are just crazy or biased.

We can continue our debate if you want but i think im going to have to ignore him because when i use his own logic he either knowingly or unknowingly fails to get it and im tired of repeating myself.

For reasons that those on the other side of the argument, understand better than I.

Not much to criticize in his record.

He beat basically ducked nobody, give or take trivialities, and beat everybody.

He was a pretty inoffensive man by the standards of heavyweight champions.

It may be because of the undefeated record and because he was the last great White American Champion. Rocky himself was a terrific guy. There isn't much middle ground with him in these debates.

So getting knocked down by an old LHW is a positive now? How about not getting knocked down in the first place and dominating 40 year old archie moore the way most other prime ATG HWs would ?

But Bald Foreman was 43 and could not convincingly beat good fighters anymore. Moorer is an ex LHW, was probably an accident waiting to happen.

Don't you at least think Rocky took a better punch than Moorer?

On the surface Rocky was a small come forward guy. I get how so many people can't get past this point. Short arms and cuts. I know this. But what I think separates this is a small come forward guy in his absolute prime. He had assets too. In an awkward and unconventional way Rocky proved to have been outstandingly consistent and DOMINANT at world level in his time.

What is fraudulent among my statements? Where have I changed history what am I spinning here?

Can you or anyone address these points regarding comeback George Foreman and say any of this is not true

Was George Not a morbidly obese celebrity boxer?

Did George not lose to a one round victim of Micheal Bentt?

Did Ken Lacuster not stagger him with a right hand?

Did Alex Stewart not tattoo George all night?

Did Comeback George EVER beat an elite career heavyweight on his comeback?

Was Moorer Ever regarded as the best heavyweight in the world?

All the attributes you give Foreman do appear to be what he had as a young man. You cannot combine that with the caution george had as an old stager. You cannot combine two careers to invent a guy who never existed. The fact of the matter is the thread is about the bald guy.

Nobody missed George. He took every punch in the book. That's why He was kept away from serious contenders.

George targeted only champions who were not career heavyweights.

Rocky was a deadly puncher. In his prime. And a heavyweight ATG.

Now it is not spinning things to point ANY of this out. To assess the thing fairly it has to be considered just as much as Marcianos size and style. I get that. None of this is spin or ignoring any of the facts.

Can you imagine 177lbs with a 31% ko record Ted Lowry wobbling Foreman and having him on the verge of a ko?lol
The Foreman hater reveals himself in his true colours!!!

Marciano did not break the bones of any fighter.

Sorry but that is a fact and, yes you made a mistake. The Applegate thing was a joke . Two fighters have credible claims to having been robbed by the scorecards against him Lastarza 1 and Lowry 1, nothing to do with just their claims the press thought so too!

Michael J. Thomas of the Providence Journal wrote, "Marciano did not win the fight. This reporter gave it to Lowry, six rounds to four.”

The crowd of 3,696 booed the decision and some wondered if Lowry had thrown the fight. "There were some questions as to whether Lowry, who had come close to knocking out Marciano in the second, third and fourth rounds, deliberately bogged down in his attack after the fourth stanza," Thomas wrote. "Lowry stopped using his uppercut after the fourth. He went into a shell and only occasionally landed power shots. He seemed to be carrying Marciano."

In his book Rocky Marciano: The Rock of His Times, Russell Sullivan wrote the following:

"It was Lowry, not Marciano, who was on the verge of scoring an early knockout, stinging Marciano with two terrific rights in the first round and then rocking him with two mighty uppercuts in the second. By the fourth, a staggered Marciano seemed just one punch away from being knocked out. But then, inexplicably, Lowry stopped fighting and retreated into a shell despite warnings from the referee to open up and a cascade of boos from the crowd. To many, it appeared that Lowry was deliberately carrying Marciano. Was foul play afoot? Was Lowry getting paid to lose? Or was he merely tiring? Whatever the reason, a revived Marciano managed to rally in the late rounds even though many of his punches missed their mark or lacked force. On the basis of his aggressiveness and constant punching, Marciano won a unanimous decision from the judges. Most observers felt, however, that Lowry should have won."
Below the reaction to the first Lastarza fight
"Jessie Abramson of the New York Daily Herald called the decision "paper thin and exceedingly odd." According to newspaper reports, it was condemned around ringside as a miscarriage of justice"

Pretty much everybody, got dropped by somebody at some point.

I find a knockdown from Archie Moore to be a fairly undamning indictment to be honest.

It could perhaps be taken to suggest that his chin was not on the level of Chuvalo, or McCall, but little beyond that.

Anyone suggested he ducked anybody,or infer that he was not a fine man?
I am regularly accused of being a Rocky hater and I know I have never suggested he ducked anyone or was less than a great champ and a fine man!

You are more a Marciano skeptic, than a Marciano hater.

    Different animal altogether.

I'm not a sceptic of Marciano, no one has said more often than I that he was a great champion and a fine man ,I just get p*ssed off with hero-worshippers attributing to him qualities my eyes tell me he did not have.
