It's pretty sad that a never was bum like Miller actually get threads these days. Povetkin destroys him.
Povetkin would pepper him with hurtful hooks and overhands all night. I suspect Miller would eventually crumble.
You really think Miller will land as easily as he did on a slow, fat and injured Wach? Povetkin looks to be ahead of Miller in every category. Speed, footwork, power, experience etc etc. Miller is basically just the next overhyped US heavyweight, because currently, the US has no-one above domestic level.
On tonight's showing you'd have to go with Povetkin all day, every day. But I'm going to keep a little faith with Miller and wait until he fights a top 15-10 opponent, I have a feeling he is one of those fighters that fights at his opponents level. Better fighters might bring the best out of him because I really do think he has something, I'm not suggesting he is overly special but you can see glimpses of talent. But I'm not crazy, he looked bang average tonight.
I'd advise Miller not to take on Povetkin at this stage of his career, especially if he wants to stay undefeated. Miller IMO hasn't solidified himself as a real contender yet. He needs to beat more good names before he fights Povetkin. Wachs a good name and a start.
Miller vs Whyte, Gassan Gassiev or even Sergey Kuzmin could be telling. I wonder if Miller's chin could stand up to Kuzmin's right hand.
It's amazing how hes even in any top 10. What's even more amazing is this is allegedly a resurgence of the heavyweight era.
There are some interesting fights to be made in the heavyweight division but I don't think Miller is ever going to be top of the heap. Between; Joshua, Whyte, Dubois, Usyk, Murat Gassiev, Gasan Gimbatov, Teslenko, Kuzmin, Parker, Ruiz Jr. Junior Fa, Mehan Jr. Wilder and Povetkin things could become very interesting. Miller is limited obviously but I think he will be "exposed" vs. somebody on the above list. Maybe even Adam Kowsnacki could get him but I think Miller's promoter is fattening him up for a title fight against somebody else in his stable--pardon the pun.
