This is just a joke, this is exactly why I was gunna bet on Bellew this time round because I literally saw the guys ankle fall apart in the ring and at his age that is a red flag. Haye should call it a day really and anyone buying this hoping the real David Haye turns up you may as well throw your money in the bin. Thoughts?
time to call it a day, sky cant afford to keep cancelling ppv I wonder if hearn is working on a replacement for bellew behind closed doors?
I don't think David is motivated as much to fight anymore. I saw it a little in Hagler after he fought Hearns. They reached that top spot and that was what they really wanted.
Its sad really if its true, Haye was my idol growing up, my favourite boxer. Those who think i ride AJ dick, gosh, your glad you didnt know me from around 2004-12 lol. I was David Haye obsessed. To think how desperate he is for cash now hes willing to ruin the legacy he left behind. Should of stayed retired after the Chisora win at Upton Park. The only thing im happy about is the way he lost too Bellew. He was given a way out in round 6 with that achilles, he spent his whole career being told he has no heart, no balls, no guts too dig deep, he proved every hater of his wrong and for that ill always respect the mans fighting spirit and glad that he got too prove it too the world. Rumour has it the reason he didnt quit the fight was because it was the first time ever that his son Cassius Haye was in attendance and he couldnt show his son he was a quitter. Shame he will be remembered for the loss to Bellew & Klitschko by the casuals but he is Britain's greatest Cruiserweight and another British Heavyweight Champion in the history books. Was incredible when he was injury free, one of th emost powerful fighters weve produced on this side of the pond. If its true and the career is over, then have a good retirement David, thanks for the memories.
Hopefully its just mind games about him injured again. I agree with you, he wasn't just a great british cruiser but a great cruiser full stop. Only 1 or 2 i'd pick over him at the weight ever. Imagine the best version of Bellew against the monster Enzo fought. 3 rounds max, and it would be a highlight reel ko for Haye. He could still do it now IF healthy, i'm convinced of it !
It' an unfounded rumour. Eddie Hearn interview on IFL TV yesterday he was asked this also and checked with Hayes team and its all just pure fabricated BS. /end thread
Evander Holyfield no doubt would of beaten David Haye in my opinion especially when hes took bombs from LEwis and Tyson, i dont think Haye has more or as much power as them being natural power punching heavyweights. Bellew isnt fit enough to lace a pre 2012 Hayes boots. Haye now isnt the same, theres no head movement, speeds etc, its a completely different style of fighter. Id love nothing more than Haye to get his revenge and get the Joshua payday and sail off into retirement with his faculties in tact.
Theres a case that Holyfield wouldn't of been as strong at cruiser as he was at heavy, regardless though your right, hes my no 1 pick over Haye. Haye has the power for an upset all the same
I depised Haye from July 2011 to February 2012(Chisora,he glassed me)he told the world he would demolish Klitschko,he got a t shirt with a picture of the Klitschko's head, everything suggested it would be a classic, given Haye was a offensive powerful fighter,Then what did he do,he ran around the ring getting bullied by Wlad and then blamed his little pinky toe. That will go in the History books, would you imagine Lennox,Tyson,Holyfield, even Bruno doing that,he's a pretty boy, straight after Chisora he went into i'm a celebrity like his mate Khan.He is a salesman and a con artist. The man Singlehandedly shut down Sky Box Office it tells you how much Sky hated him.At CW he was a legend,at HW a fraud
