I've seen several AJ fans claim Wilder doesn't deserve the fight, that he shouldn't get it, that AJ shouldn't give him a payday. Dunno how you call it but with all that garbage, they sound insecure to me.

Anthony Joshua fans dont want to see their man have to bend over and throw his money at Deontay Wilder just so this fight happens. We want to see Deontay payed well, we dont want to see him lowballed but we dont want to see him leaching off of Joshua.

Where as Joshua, his team and his promoter have worked hard in the promotion of their fighter and put him in challenging fights and got themselves to a crazy level of popularity Deontay Wilder and his team and his promoter have done nothing, have stayed under the radar, not really challenged themselves, not chased or fought anybody really good and all of a sudden they think they can screach and scream and bang a drum and make alot of noise and then jump in and get HALF of something they have not really added much value to because of Wilders weak career.

We want the fight, we dont like Wilder and would hate to see him get paid too much more than he deserves.

Let me guess, you probably thought Manny Pacquiao deserved 50% of the pot vs Floyd Mayweather, Jr when it's been proven Floyd made much more money leading up that fight? He did not even deserve 40% tbh.

He went from the Alabama bum slayer who's own fans wouldn't even defend his crap level of opposition to a fearsome beast everyone is ducking by knocking over a fat overweight stiverne

Nail on the head. With Wilders resume now, it will just look like a Michael Grant win if AJ blows him out now. I'd rather see Wilder fight Parker. The winner would be a worthy challenger to AJ.

Wilder vs AJ is the biggest Heavyweight fight involving an American in well over a decade
The two fighter have an astounding combined record of 59-0 58KO's
Wilder has insane power, a great persona and can talk a good game, AJ has the fan base, the physique and the impeccable record.

If boxing can't sell this fight than surely it needs to die

Wilder vs AJ easily does 500k PPV buys in the US and sell out T-Mobile
Wilder vs AJ could still do a million UK buys at the same time, I think the UK loves their man that much.

Put this fight in the UK and you sell out a football stadium but the disparity in ticket prices mean you only make the same revenue as T-Mobile and you get zero US ppv buys as the US won't stay up for this fight.

Wilder vs AJ makes sense in the US for sure,

65-35 or 70-30 in AJ's favour is probably the going rate

I agree with the percentage take, but how do you sell this in the Us where neither fighter is known to casuals? Trust me, I'm an American, and they are not known. I don't see how it makes money on ppv right now in the us. Maybe if AJ fights Miller and Wilder big Dom on the same card in the us it would get more interest out there

i want AJ to face wilder i dont think waiting will help make the fight any bigger .

i want the fight to take place in the uk though
money side of it not that important

legacy wise if wilder wins he will be the man in america and his profile will rise hugely

if joshua wins easy then wilder will be treated exactly the way jeff lacy was a monster before the fight to a retrospective average fighter just another name on the AJ record
unless wilder comes back and faces and beats a name afterwards something lacy never did.

but both AJ and wilder IMO are limited in who are realistic opponents in with a chance against them that the public can get excited about.

albeit joshua has crossover appeal and many laymen watch his fights and not the hardcore only and he can get away with huge paydays v mediocre fighters like miller.

You could be right... But I am not sure about that being the reason.

I admit I am not in a rush to see it happen yet as Joshua has only had around half the fights of Wilder and seems to have done more of the work. I would like to see Wilder involved in some bigger fights like Joshua to see it build into a bigger event.
When I say more of the work. Joshua in 20 fights has beaten an undefeated big punching world champ, an undefeated puncher, an ATG at HW. Martin, Breazeale, Whyte, W Klitschko are all former Joshua opponents and I think any could be disputed as Wilders best opponent if he were signed to fight any of them.

I would guess it would be a bigger event if Wilder and Parker were to unify and then see a bout with Joshua for all of the titles

I would favour Joshua if the fight was to be made soon

Hurts so bad that the #1 heavyweight in the world is British. American fans must be smoking thesame stuff as Trump.:biggrin::biggrin:

Nope. Not sure where you got that from plus its not even relevant. Manny had star power, a proven ppv draw. Wilder has neither.

Lol I know crazy isn’t it,I’ve actually asked folk about this when I’ve heard say Wilders improved, what against a fat overweight, mentally shot Stiverne who threw how many punches?
I’m sorry but some serious questions would of been asked had Wilder not blown him away, everyone hated that fight when announced inc MVC who has a short memory as he said if that goes ahead he would disown Wilder.

Joshua has three titles, Wilder has one fake on that he did not earn! Wilder has never fought a legit opponent, Joshua has. Joshua can make huge money, Wilder can't. Wilder fights in a pig pin in Alabama, can't draw flies! Joshua drew 90,000........................enought said. Easy knockout for Joshua...............Wilder does not want that fight, Wilder will fight Breazeale who is also owned by Haymon! Get the corruption out of boxing!
