As reported, Byrd who scored the Golovkin/Alvarez fight 10 rounds for El Pollo and only 2 rounds for Golovkin will not be penalized at all! Bob Bennett, the boxing commissioner lied live on HBO, claiming that Byrd was a great judge and had never had a bad card until the Golovkin/Alvarez fight! A total lie! Byrd has been corrupt for years. Jim Lampley said that if fans do not do something now, the corruption in boxing will continue! Bob Bennett was also called out by HBO for lying about the last Rigo fight when Rigo held his opponent's head and hit him three times in a row, then clearly after the bell landed a left hook and knocked his opponent out! Bob Bennett lied live on HBO, said their video man told him that the punch was clearly before the bell while the video was being replayed! Later the decision was changed, but only after HBO proved him wrong! The same Bob Bennett who refused to watch the replay of Kovalev/Ward when Ward clearly landed three low blows in a row to Kovelev's testicles!. Call the number and complain! I will do it tomorrow! If you have it on your DVR, then watch "The Fight Game" with Jim Lampley which was shown right after the fights!

what's intresting is Beterbiev has beat both gvozdyk and Kovalev in the amatuers. the two Kovalev wins are one win in Moscow that was razor close and a sparring session that people claimed Beterbiev got the better of (in dagostan)

but the gvozdyk fight ended in knockout for beterbiev so I think it's silly people gaurentee gvozdyk wins in 3 rounds.. if that happens then gvozdyk is probably going to be p4p the best fighter.

Also if everyone else is writing off / underrating a fighter and you think he's got a 40% chance of winning, you'll always listen to your heart and pick him.

 

Beterbiev beats this Kovalev and Gvodsyk, loses to Bivol and Stevenson.

 

Dont know about the first three but Beterbiev annihilates Chickenson with ease and Chickenson knows it

Beterbiev is there to be hit - which is a problem if you're standing in front of Adonis Stevenson..

 

I just read that Beterbiev received 250K for his last fight and that he was required to put 30% of that money on the side for his former promoter (Yvon Michel). They are going to court early next year and if Yvon wins. Beterbiev is gonna have to give him that money.

We also learned that Beterbiev won't fight until that promotion crap is over.

Artur also said he has no interest in voluntary title defenses. He wants a unification title bout in his next fight.

 

May I remind you Stevenson was knocked out by Darnell Boone?

Yes it is as I was referring to your larger point about if one fighter did damage on a guy it automatically means another guy with better attributes automatically does similar damage to that original guy. That sh it just doesn't always translate that. Styles make fights and some guys just respond differently to their opponents.
