Yep exactly. And when it’s all said and done Loma’s career will be far greater than Mayweathers and he will have contributed more to the sport while being a far better ambassador. And that will bother the **** out of certain pukes and I will enjoy it beyond words :)

It's hard to tell but he's gotten off to a historic start. If he's able to maintain the trajectory he could very well be one of the greatest of all time. But it's a long road to catch Floyd

No doubt it’s a pretty good climb. But after he knocks Rigo the **** out and then defeats Garcia next year and then unifies 135... he’ll be well on his way. I also factor in the amateur accomplishments. I don’t give a **** about the turds on here that always come back with “Who cares about the amateurs doe?!” Amateurs are boxing. Period.

I will say this once again an amateur career has no bearing on a pro career it's irrelevant when talking about a pro fighters career and his atg level ranking. Lomas atg status will be judged for what he did as a pro period.

That’s your opinion. But an Olympic Gold medal (Especially Two) is way harder to reach than an alphabet strap in the pro’s so it does have a good amount of clout when talking about a boxers past achievements in the sport.

A better PRO career and a better OVERALL boxing career including the ams are two different arguments. Loma is well on his way to having one of the best overall careers in boxing history. Like it or not.

I'm a fan. You definitely don't need to sell me. I agree his overall body of work has to be considered as a boxer, both AM and Pro.....but the accomplishments at both levels are separate. Just because he's a 2 time Gold medal winning Olympian doesn't add any more polish to what he has accomplished as a professional. When it's all said and done the achievements as an amateur and as a pro will stand on their own merits but will only enhance his legacy as a boxer.

Well that’s your opinion and that’s cool. But I look at the overall boxing career accomplishments and factor in both. Yes pro’s are different no doubt. But winning TWO Olympic Golds as well as world championships with the record he had... that’s a remarkable accomplishment in the sport of boxing.

In the past... There have been some SERIOUS boxers in the amateurs that never went pro do to the times. I’m sure you already know many of them. When talking about ‘Great Boxers Of The Past’ I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be included. Yes we’ll never know how Vysotski would have done against Smokin Joe or how Teofolio would have done against Ali but those guys were damn sure great boxers.

I hear ya. I don't think anyone denies the AM record Loma compiled it beyond impressive...It's historically the most impressive record in amateur boxing history. But if Loma completely failed to successfully transition from AM to Pro, his professional short fall wouldn't impact his AM accomplishments....Just as his AM accomplishments can't impact or enhance his professional achievements.

I think Floyd had a AM record that was 96-6? A bronze Olympic medal that should have been Gold. Which is impressive! But Loma had a 396-1 record with 2 Olympic Gold Medals. That's legendary. As pros.....Floyd is light years ahead of Loma with his legendary career who is only 12 fights in, so it's definitely a long road. The only loss Loma has to Salido doesn't really impact his career, considering how he jumped right into the fire after turning pro. No one has faced the level of opposition Loma has straight out of the gate.

Two Golds in two separate weight classes. First and only amateur to do so but this evidently means **** all according to some. LOL

Then by all means get a head start and begin holding your breath preferably with a plastic bag secured over your head.
