    The Cuban legends are a big "what if" as it relates to how they would make out in the pro ranks. There have been some who defected and turned pro, but never lived up to their legendary AM careers....which is why they have to be evaluated in silos until they prove themselves at both levels. Teofolio was a heavyweight Cuban AM legend who could have transitioned into a professional with ease....how far he could have went is all speculation but unfortunately we will never know what could have been

    I don't think it means "Sh*t" at all....I just don't think the AM achievements can add to their professional accomplishments. Just as their professional accomplishments can't enhance or enrich their Amateur achievements. When a fighter hangs up the gloves for good is when you really look at their AM/PRO careers in totality. Let's say Loma entered the Pro ranks and had limited success. Just because he had 2 Olympic gold medals and a 396-1 AM record would somehow add luster to his average professional achievements. Of course Loma is making history at the pro level just as he did as an AM so I see why people are clustering the two together. But at the end of the day they are two different levels of boxing with a lot of separation based on the rules, regulations and where AM is capped. As a pro, there's no cap

    Yeah man his first 4 years as a pro have been awesome. I just wish Salido would have been more cooperative with getting that rematch booked. Something tells me Vasyl going into that rematch would have been the most motivated Lomachenko to date! The guy does NOT like to lose. Lol He would have put on a wicked performance and most likely he would’ve picked up where he left off in that 12th. But on Dec 9th I think we’ll see the best Loma.

    If he secures a rematch with Salido I think he puts him into retirement. Loma definitely has a mean streak...it's just subtle. The rematch would completely erase any residue the loss still had on Loma's career....which isn't much of anything to be honest. Salido didn't even make weight and has a ton more professional experience. It was a dirty fight that Loma had to deal with and he still made it a very competitive fight. Had it been a 15 rounder I don't think Loma would have a loss on his record

    He actually gave Jacobs 10 rounds but is now lying and saying he though he won but not that many rounds.

    You rank Floyd higher than Alexis Arguello and Azumah Nelson at 130? I have Floyd ahead of Nelson but only by a thin margin but can't put him ahead of Alexis. He had huge victories against Bazooka Limon and Bobby Chacon. Floyd definitely deserves to be in the top 3 without question and his overall body of work eclipses Arguello but if we are isolating just their accomplishments at 130 I don't know if Floyd is king from a historical perspective

    This is God's alias you be talkin' to, son !

    You hearin' an echo in here ?

    No, he would not.

    Loma would be the best 130 lber he ever faced, and while he would decision the Ukranian, it'd be faaaaaaaar from an ass-whoopin'

    Floyd is king in that perspective. He was undefeated at the weight and he beat good comp there too.

    I could say a million words to debunk the titular claim, but it can easily be done in six;

    Lomachenko's inside game ain't worth spit.

    And even that short missive affords this thread more dignity than it merits.

    I love to see these Mayweather nuthuggers slipping and sliding and squirming when someone better comes along so soon after his career is over. When the talk is about Lomas overall career they will tell you the amateurs don't count but when his record breaking pro career is mentioned it's only because of his amateur career. Mayweather sold his soul to the business of boxing rather than for fame and glory with his cherry picking ped crazed charade of a career. Then came the ultimate insult and disdain to boxing itself with the Mcgregor fight. He chose to give the mma guy who never had a fight a 70 mil payday when there are 30+ boxers in and around his weight division who would beat him but would be lucky to make one tenth of the 70 mil in their entire careers. None of the greats have gone anywhere near to what Loma has achieved and it's all based on ability. You don't win 396 fights out 397 and start a pro career with a 10 rounder then fight 10 consecutive world title fights unless you have superior ability. Then they still cling to the hope that the Salido loss will somehow taint or shackle his career. It's been done to death. Loma was shafted by Salido who cheated him with the weights and fouls and by the world's worst ref who should have disqualified him and by 2 blind judges who could only have Salido winning if you count the 40+ low blows. He won a world title in his next fight in record time and a second 3 fights later in record time. Loma is the most skillful fighter ever. By the time he is through he will make Mayweather look like a faded memory.
