Hearn paying W.O.A.T Charles Martin 5 ****ing Mil has given other HW's plenty of reason to make higher pay demands than they ordinarily would have against AJ. He's shot himself in the foot
No not "all of them", you are either seriously misinformed or just telling lies. Quote me a few figures, what genuine offer has Team Wilder made? Show me a link to anything stating an offer they have actually turned down. Calling people out is not an offer, Errrr show me the venue Team Wilder suggested? Show me them quoting any figures? You can't just waffle on about "they are afraid" and "they have turned down all offers" with out shred of evidence apart from Wilder mouthing off on Twitter and YouTube.
Promoter fanboys are the worst, but it's not just Hearn that has a group of fanboys. One that's regularly overlooked in this case is Floyd's TMT Promotions, which has a big following. According to some Haymon couldn't do anything wrong despite numerous reports that PBC was losing money at such a large scale that the very shifty aquired hedgefund had been depleted for 70% already, all while violating the apparently toothless Ali Act. Then there have been fans of shady Arum, JayZ, 50c, King and even Fwank. But compared to them, Hearn is a lot less shady. Although he made it into a thing that almost every fight above national level became PPV in the UK, which is pretty damn bad.
Stage 1 negotiations. Hearn is only doing what all promoters do most of the time. Finkel wants 50-50 for his fighter who brings about 10x less revenue a fight than Joshua, Higgins wants 40% but again his fighter brings about 10% of what Joshua does. Hearn has worked damn hard to push Joshua to the level he is at, polished and promoted, licked arse when they need licking, greased palms and over paid opponants to get them in the ring with Joshua. And he has put AJ in with real threats, you think Parker or Wilder would of gone anywhere near Wladimir last year? Not a chance. So he is going to battle it out to get the best deal for himself and his fighter against promoters who have not pulled their sleeves up and put the effort in. Joseph Parker is from NewZealand, as lovely as the place is, it cant be easy to sell this man to the world to become a huge world wide mega star but surely they can do better than Youtube as the platform to sell world title fights. But Haymon, Finkel, DiBella, they have just been sheltering Deontay from threats. These sleazy fukks know how to promote a fighter very well and have all the tools to make their fighter into a mega star but they just havnt bothered. Kept him on the down low, keep him from being knocked out and take the small fees. Hearn is a sleazebag, they all are, but he seems to be doing alot more for Boxing and Boxing fans than the promoters of Wilder and Parker.
Tell me how he is doing so? Tell me what mega fight he have done for the people? Canelo vs GGG Or a Old Wlad vs Joshua! Dont lie to yourself
I never mentioned mega fights. Whyte was exciting though, Klitchko was exciting too. Martin was an unbeaten brash big talking American world champion, thats exciting. Maybe if Wilder or Parker had shown some balls and shown any interest in fighting old Wlad and beaten him they would now been in a much better position than they are. Old man Klitchko beats both of them though.
Canelo vs GGG..... The fact it was seen as a "Mega fight" is kind of pointless when the outcome is decided by corruption no?
If people like the fights he makes why not be a fan of him? If you don't like the fights he makes, you don't have to buy them or like him. His popularity isn't terribly relevant to me.
Here's my question for "Real Boxing fans"..... Do you honestly think that 'Mega fights', decided by corruption, will help bring new fans to the sport?
No. And thats a real shame cuz for 12 rounds that was a hell of a fight i seriously enjoyed it. But what happened after the final bell has put a big dent in the sport. GGG got robbed, Canelo fought the fight of his life and got booo,d. Thousands of fans left the venue feeling bitter and millions at home or in bars and clubs felt the same. Oscar walked out the place with a big smile on his face though. Im not too sure what this has got to do with Eddie Hearn though.
