One of my all time favorites! The Hawk a problem. Him and Leonard were in talks at one point but the difference in weight was a big obstacle. The guy had under rated skills that was over shadowed by his relentless style

    He was insane!
I was checking out the punchstats from the Arguello fight. 1400 punches in 14 rounds. Asthma tablets mixed in water or not, he had a phenomenal workrate, great chin and boxed amazingly against Arguello.

I would pick Pryor to beat Mayweather. The chin, power and workrate is all wrong for Floyd.

there is the full fight of the 5.6 pryor fighting tommy hearns in the amatuers

    pryor won
great fight albeit hearns was only 17 or 18 from memory of the commentary but you can tell it was 2 great boxers / completley different builds but matched up well.

drug problems ****ed up pryors life / sad / he was a unique style of fighter with a hybrid style all of his own / compulsive viewing though.

i watched all his title fights on uk tv albeit on delay .

    That was a tremendous fight.

    The first round was Hagler-Hearns-esque.

The three best light welters I've seen - Pryor, Chavez & Tszyu.

The best fighter ever to come out of Cincinnati in my opinion. The fights with Alexis are some of the best matches you can watch. The first one especially.

The cincinnati cobra ezzard charles will have something to say about that, but since he was born in alabama we can let this slip.
Still the hawk did things in the ring I still look at and wonder how the hell he did it.

Pryor and Sweet Pea Whittaker are the two best 140 lb'ers I've ever seen since I've been alive.
