Aaron Pryor was something else.

Charles was a beast...He beat some great fighters in his day too. Archie Moore and Jersey Joe....It's a tough call but I'm partial to Pryor. One of my all time favorite boxers so I am a bit biased. Aaron always brought it and made every fight exciting. He's my #2 behind a prime James Toney.

Ezzard has a strong claim to the Best boxer to come out of Cincy title. He came from the era when it wasn't uncommon to see someone with over 100 fights. I don't think anyone else comes close to either of those two. Boom Boom, Pavlik and Broner are in the conversation.

I know I might be in the minority but I even give Arron a slight edge over Sweet Pea in their primes. I think the pressure would be too much for Pernell.

Sweatpea is one of the best defensive fighters who ever lived. Would've been a classic fight.

Epic.....Two polar opposites in terms of styles but although Whitaker was more defensive, he still had a mean streak....that's what would have made it a classic imo.

Man that fight would have been close to untouchable. The hype and excitement over Loma vs. Rigo -- by true boxing fans -- is pretty much on another level in recent times, but Hawk vs. Sweet Pea........ Mind=boom

This isn't a knock on Tzsyu or Chavez sr. -- I think they were both great junior welter's -- but I have no clue how some fans rate them ahead of Hawk and SP...... I mean SP clowned Chavez H2H, biggest robbery I've ever seen, maybe the only true ROBBERY of modern times. It actually drives me kinda nuts tbh. Then againmaybe I don't know what the F uck im talking about.

Easy to rate them ahead of Sweet Pea as light welters when Sweet Pea only had one fight at the weight.

Sweet Pea wasn't an atg LW in the same way DLH, Pacman and Floyd weren't atg LWs.

Light Welter was a division they transiently passed through.

Pryor, Chavez & Tszyu campaigned for a long time at the weight and had (in the case of Pryor & Tszyu in particular) all their big fights there.

I actually think Chavez was a better junior lightweight & lightweight than he was light welter but given the length of time he spent there & who he fought, he clearly qualifies.

See my other post...I reference Charles but don't believe he was a better boxer. He's definitely in the conversation and with over 100 fights and 20+ losses there is an argument

I usually don't care about drugs, but that 'mix' bottle was something else.
