Dilion Whyte. Only Helenius and Malcolm Tann were brave enough to face the devastating body snatcher!

And Ortiz, Povetkin, Wawrzyk they purposely ate a PED to avoid fight with Wilder. Stiverne also tried to avoid fight by using PED but luck turned from him.

First three that come to mind for me: Hagler, Golovkin, Corrie Sanders.

Hagler and Golovkin both really struggled to get a title shot; guys were hiding under metaphorical couches and curtains when their names came up. Sanders was always high risk, low reward, nobody wanted to fight him if there were better offers around. And there always were.

Nobody in recent times has been more avoided than Rigo. Most people didn't care because they didn't like his style.

    TBA

I've seen this guy mentioned as an opponent for thousands of opponents over every weight class, yet every fight for him and his twin sister have fallen through.

Solar panels get their power from the sun. The sun gets its power from Deontay Wilder.

    Agreed.

Rigondeaux is the very definition of an avoided fighter. Nobody active comes anywhere even close.

And in a historical sense, African American heavyweights from the Joe Louis era and before were avoided like the plague...

As far as I personally know I'd say Hagler.
From my ear to the wall from what older historians tell I'd
say Charley Burley, he never even got a chance to fight
for a title and to be considered on par with Sugar Ray and
never get a title shot ever seems to take the cake.
