The WBC are so discredited their statement actually taints the legitimacy of Wilder's motives for the fight.
Two weeks ago this organization put forth Bermane Stiverne as Wilder's number 1 deserving challenger.

Joshua-Wilder is probably the biggest fight out there right now between active heavyweights, yes.

Is Sulaiman stumping up the 50% that Wilder demands? If not then he can STFU.

I don't know why Wilder even bothers with AJ (a mere 20-0)

If he really wants to fight someone his peer - he needs to fight this guy ...

Wilder isn't demanding 50%. You'll still be latching onto that excuse 12 months from now.

Anthony "Lowball" Joshua is his new name. They pretend to know a fighters worth, what they bring to the table, and how they don't bring anything to the table. He can fight the old guys and inferior guys in the U.K. Let him rot.

He's asking for 50/50 in the US. He knows he would get less in the U.K but you still ask for the most and then negotiate.

What is really funny to me is that people in the uk will pay anything to see joshua fighting anyone even a midget! If hearns says Joshua vs the blind midget people will go crazy and buy it!What its the fear to fight Wilder? The fear is that wilder will end your dream!

Povetkin offered this to him back when Wilder had just won the title, you won't find much online about it though I remember it at the time.

Here's a link where Shelly Finkel, alludes to the offer from Povetkin for $10 mill, so it clearly happened. As he says they could go fight Povetkin in Russia for $10 mill.

edit links censored, just replace **** with the well known boxing site, you know the scene.

He is washed up, but he made more money for the bellew fight than Parker and Wilder do combined. Haye is still a draw even now. If Haye beats Bellew the money on offer for Joshua/Haye might set another UK record, they'll need to build a bigger stadium lol.

Personally think purely based on his name and reputation with respect to UK casual boxing fans, if haye can blast bellew out of there in rematch this becomes a bigger fight than wilder. Wilder is to unknown to the casuals.

Or if wilder beat haye before the joshua fight I think this would produce more revenue than if wilder fought whyte first.

Yeah that would up his profile massively in the UK, even more than the Whyte fight. Haye is far more well known by the casuals than Whyte who isn't really a draw at all in the UK.

But despite Haye's return, Wilder has never showed any interest in that fight and Haye himself will only be looking to fight AJ. Haye doesn't need to beat Wilder to get an AJ fight, the money on the table for both of them will be enough incentive.
