Quarry beat big punchers Shavers, Foster and Lyle in the 1970s and was considered a potential danger to heavyweight champion and destroyer, George Foreman. This, despite being what would be considered today a cruiser weight while the above named would be legit heavies even under a modern context. Could Jerry Quarry add Deontay Wilder to his list of big punching victims?

Remember, an in shape Stiverne took Wilder the distance and Spilka went 10 rounds with him I think and Quarry was better than them even adjusting for size.

Quarry would DESTROY Wilder. It wouldn't be close.

Would be competitive Quarry's a very good boxer but Wilder would get to him and stop him.

Hard to say, Wilder is unproven.

...well, Quarry did almost stop Ali with a body shot. If not stop him, had him in considerable distress and that was a close to peak Ali so Quarry might have good enough speed and timing to land something like that on Wilder and Wilder probably doesn't have Ali's resilience. However, then again, George Chuvalo did manage to KO Quarry so maybe Wilder could land a big right hand too. So I guess it's going to be an equivocal argument on both sides.

So a 250lb. guy with an iron chin just got laid flat by Wilder's punches, but a 190 lb. guy (with an iron chin) is going to take them?

Quarry makes it interesting for a few rounds, then gets stopped or beaten up for 12 rounds. Wilder still 6-7.

Quarry beat big punchers who Wilder is really no more skilled than, just taller. He excelled against big punchers who left plenty of openings. Plus, Stiverne was fat and nowhere near the skill level of a prime Quarry.
