Who would you say was the most skilled fighter that used the come forward, aggressive style in recent time (mainly around the 2000s to current).
    I'd say Roman Gonzalez.

The pressure that Roman brought was obscene. Very scary. I'd say GGG as well.

calzaghe was the most skilled in your face fighter of recent times
    not the power and
he looked ugly in some fights but he could switch up and adjust v boxers/punchers/brawlers/defensive/offensive fighters and stay in there face while doing it and at the same time let his hands go.

he is liked and disliked equally/ not a fighter for the purists but he was the most effective in your face fighter of recent times.

Nah.. there's been better pressure fighters than GGG... Don't like to.admit this because he's a cheat but Margarito is one of the best pressure fighters ever.period..

I`d say he was up there with GGG, but Joe was a little open to straight rights, in saying that Canelo was able to escape to his left without GG cutting him off and he didn`t throw many body shots whereas Joe had a good jab to the body and a great 1-2 reverse to the chest in the Kessler fight.

Pac is too quick with feet and hand.. it' almost impossible for anybody to cut the ring off on that version of pac.. similar to GGG not cutting the ring off effectively against Canelo unless he went to the ropes himself.

JC Chavez would have cut the ring off Pac and Canelo`s evasive footwork is smarter than Pac`s was so I feel Margarito would be exposed against Canelo also.

Chavez Sr had a problem with fast fighters, that's no question. I don't think he'd have loads of success, but he'd have more than Margarito that's for sure.. But pressuring a peaking Pac comes with its dangers as well.

Pac great offensive moves but Chavez was great at slipping shots on the inside and countering.

He got hit more frequent against fast fighters, look at the Taylor, Whitaker and De La Hoya fight for proof. Pac at his peak is one of the fastest combination punchers of all time and Chavez would have a heck of a hard time slipping pacs punches.

We've had some enjoyable and effective ones, but not many especially skilled ones.

Orlando Salido got better and better on the job. During his optimum performance years, he was an educated pressure fighter with some sound fundamentals and good timing, able to set attacks up and use disguises, throw creative combinations, work the body effectively, cut the ring down with his shifting footwork, counterpunch while pressing the fight. Deserves a shout alongside the more illustrious names.

Jose Luis Castillo during his peak he was by far the best pressure fighter in the game. Educated jab subtle defense could cut off the ring excellent body puncher good power chin and stamia.
